Just wow!!! Can't believe this.
It should though have the ability to choose peak filters instead of notches, with narrow Q, so we can make the Wet signal less!
Now you have to do it manually, and notches don't have Dry/Wet control!

What do you think?

Post

I haven't used it yet (still in bed!) but was looking forward to trying this out. I was expecting peaks for exactly this reason. Not only allowing dry\wet but you could also do things like modulate the amount by a following modulator or making the peak eqs be dynamic eqs rather than static.

ClcIk [Invert] ? Edit: Hah - that didn't work for "Notch" bands.

This feature is great, but it could be more "intelligent". I also would prefer peak bands over notches, which have all the same q. A peak band, which adapted to the resonance in q and volume reduction and also decides between resonances, which are constantly and occasionally and decides if it need a constant or an dynamic eq. Revolution:-)

Hehe. Exactly my thoughts and like the mail I wrote Vojtech yesterday. :D ... I do not want to write what he wrote. Instead I'd like to see if he wants to answer in this thread for himself. :)

We CAN change them to peak if we like. The problem with peak is that it doesn't go as narrow as notch, if it were updated to go more narrow it would break backwards compatibility.

Here you go guys, save this as a preset. Use the remove resonances feature as normal. Then look at Multiparameter 1, it is called "Dynamic Peaks" if you press this switch it will automatically change all bands into narrow peaks with full dynamics. Now you can use Dry/Wet. Press it again and it switches right back to how it was, simple! Takes all the hard work out.

Hehe now that's a creative solution! ;)

Anyways I basically created the feature for the work on MDrummer samples I'm doing now and it turns out that notches work much better than peaks usually. You cannot control the amount of processing with them, but they literally remove the center frequency completely and has less broad range around them, so they sound more transparent, which is essential for removing resonances.

jmg8, you are a genius! or "Melda Genius!" :) Thanks man!
Vojtech, the settings icon in the remove resonances button, seems a good place to make some advanced settings for this! You are a genius man!

Very, very useful feature! Thank you for that. Please… I don't remember how to paste the above code as a preset. Could you please remind me?

Post

Click select all, right click and copy.
Then open the plugin and click the paste button (bottom right of plugin)

Thank you. The Paste button is probably the one top left, in my case? I'm in Logic Pro X, Mac.
The problem is that, when I paste, the new preset name becomes "Master enhancer (aggressive)" and the Multiparameter 1 is not called "Dynamic Peaks", it's called "Bass", in my case.

Post

It's definitely at the bottom right.
Looks like a little clipboard.

I feel dumb… Cannot find it… (the one on top left is an internal Paste feature of Logic, you're right)

Ok so the button that says A/B is in the bottom right corner. There are three buttons under it, the button you want is the one on the right (of those 3)
