Waveform demo - stuttering problems

I'm trying the demo, but it doesn't seem to be working very well. The sound in the demo song "Woody D&B Demo" is stuttering too much.

I've tried various buffer settings and "Use low detail interface". Any ideas?

Specs:
- W10x64, Tracktion Waveform 8.2.0
- soundcard: Yamaha Motif XS8, ASIO (tried 512 and 1024 buffer)
- cpu/ram: i7-4790K@4Ghz, 16GB

I do suspect this to be the same bug as reported earlier on macos and hires displays. (When in the settings tab, it works better.)

I'm on a dual screen setup with one 4k screen and one 2560x1440. The stuttering when displaying the song tab is pretty intense

That's interesting you're seeing it in Windows 10 as well... so it seems to be 4k/hi-res thing rather than a Mac thing.

If you set your secondary monitor to a lower resolution, and run the main Waveform window on it, does the performance improve?

It seems to work better when I set both monitors to 1920x1080.

(even then, I think I have to use something like 2x internal buffer to be safe)

PS. I tried to only changing the rescaling factor to 100% on both monitors, but it didn't help. I have to lower the actual screen resolution.
