How are Eva Cassidy and Sandy Denny forgotten?! It's a strange 'term' as fans certainly wouldn't forget them. Truly forgotten, to me, would include singers from much further back in the past. My favourite female singers would be Peggy Lee and Deanna Durbin. Lee certainly isn't forgotten but you could probably make a case that Durbin is.

True fans seldom forget their favorites, ever. The point (if there is any), is to spread awareness of the names maybe not so much known for todays music lovers, who live on the mercy on AOR radio playlists.

I remember Sandy Denny, Eva Cassidy I don't recall at all.

Is Sarah Vaughn forgotten? :?

I grew up with the 'chick singers' in Stan Kenton's bands.
Chiefly Julie London, maybe my father's favorite. She seems to be mostly remembered for being on a TV prime-time soap, Emergency! today. Fantastic phrasing, epitome of a jazz vocalist. Light breathy tone, which she attributed to being a heavy smoker, and even said she doubts that tone will have happened otherwise.

Do you know Anita O'Day?

that's Dennis Budimir on guitar

A "teaser" is at the end of the first refrain, it gets better later in the song. (And it's up to you to decide what this song's about :hihi: )

I guess the runny ice creame cone tells it all...

Boy George?
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
