Clearly, if you're satisfied by those sorts of meaningless crumbs after a five month delay, then of course that's all you'll get. I still say that if he was prepared to nominate a May release back in April then a meaningful reply about timeframes now is not unreasonable. And further, this thread and its various antagonistic turns is proof in itself that from a marketing and PR perspective this has not been a glorious story.Stollmeister wrote:Thanks! Turns out, during the past few weeks a lot of little fixes and changes have led to sound changes. Comparing the revision that was referenced to the hardware with current ones shows some sonic differences we can't explain yet. So we have to do a whole set of comparisons with the hardware again, and find all those little under-the-hood screws that need to be adjusted to sound authentic.
We're talking subtle stuff, but when a check reveals that suddenly envelope times are off, we're simply alarmed and not sure as to how long it takes. The good thing is, since this week we have the same automated tests for Repro-5 which we have for all our other plug-ins. So it won't happen again.

From September 12th. Reading helps. Being insulting rarely does.

And this is exactly why most developers don't post on forums and if they do never indicate when things may be launched or what they are working on. No good dead goes unpunished.

Maybe instead of RePro1 or RePro5... announce a new synth : ReProcrastinate.

Right now I have Bazille, Diva, Zebra, RePro-1, ACE and Hive and I have been satisfied with u-he for years... so clearly your assertion that somehow it is only if users express dissatisfaction that we will get something is incorrect.spirit wrote:

I'm satisfied with u-he without even receiving a crumb. It is entirely up to u-he to decide when a new product is ready to launch. They decide when it is ready and if they want to make a last minute re-write for whatever reason. None of us, including you, have any say in the matter, nor the slightest justification for being a bully and trying to cajole, force or otherwise manipulate them into doing what you want.
Of course you are free to spend your time on complaints if you want

Yeah, my u-he synths do way more than what I needed when I bought them. Anything else is just an awesome bonus.pdxindy wrote:Right now I have Bazille, Diva, Zebra, RePro-1, ACE and Hive and I have been satisfied with u-he for years... so clearly your assertion that somehow it is only if users express dissatisfaction that we will get something is incorrect.spirit wrote:

I bought them for what they do, because they are amazing products. I'm much more than satisfied.

That is the single most ridiculous statement in this thread. You know nothing about software development, nor the history of software releases. No one owes you anything.MickMack7 wrote:Never before has anyone announced a software 6 months before, and they still did not come!
