Actually, isn't this exactly the feature you yourself asked for?
The recording of the modulator value. But it overrides the other modulator, nothing else, it's useless like this.

Nope, not quite.
But: what I missed here was setting the Value and Max Value for the SECOND target parameter.

It was user error
There is no problem here. please move along.
I had set the Value and Max Value for the first target parameter (Dry/Wet) - as in my screenshot; but I forget to do it for the second parameter (the LFO 3 Value).
