Some controller values cannot be adjusted in Waveform MIDI clip while it is looped

I noticed that when I have a MIDI clip looped in Waveform, I cannot adjust controller values such as velocity, pitch wheel, etc. I have to first un-loop the clip, make the adjustments, and then re-loop and drag across bars as needed. This can be a real workflow killer when you need to go back and tweak a clip that is looped over several bars.

How are you trying to edit the values? Using the in-place clip editor, MIDI editor panel or detached MIDI editor window?
I just tried this with both and it seems to work?

I generally use the in-place MIDI clip editor; it is what I am most familiar with. The problem most likely manifests itself in any of the MIDI editing scenarios, though.

To assist in tracking down this issue, use MIDI clips that have several linked copies in a track. Also, use MIDI clips that loop across several bars. Try to adjust velocity/controller values in the very first bar of the very first MIDI clip (in a linked series of clips), and also try adjusting velocity/controller values in the very first bar in one of the linked copies of the looped MIDI clip.

@dRowAudio I sent you a PM with a link to an edit file that should be able to help you reproduce the issues.

Have you maybe recorded automation into the clip, intentionally or not, and you've got playback automation selected too? So when you try to change it, the automation is changing it back?
"my gosh it's a friggin hardware"

I doubt it, because the past few months or so, I have only been manually re-sequencing existing compositions (no new MIDI recording of anything).

That said, doing something unintentionally is certainly a possibility; albeit a remote possibility in this case.

Thanks, I see what you mean now. It's when you've changed the loop start and end points by dragging the white loop lines that the problem occurs. We'll take a look, cheers.
