Strange, as it was allowed when I bought it two weeks ago.

The Ueberschall anniversary sale is tempting. Any thoughts on that? I did not yet buy into the Ueberschall ecosystem but I have to admit that their elastik player looks pretty neat.

Guessing you bought this before the promotion started? It is now, $299, if you qualify, but this promotion didn't start until Sep 14 or 15. IK won't allow you to use both jam points and a promotional coupon - it is only one or the other.

Do you know if many/all have usable samples, or did you just get lucky?JC_ wrote:It is kind of a pain trying to figure out what you can actually buy with it but recently I used a voucher to buy a Maschine expansion (I don't actually have a Maschine yet) and I have used the drum sounds from the expansion in a lot of projects. Also, if they release another guitar library like Strummed Acoustic 3 or something, I will definitely use one for that.Nobdi wrote:I would have been totally fine with NOT getting a voucher at all when upgrading to Komplete - other than getting a practicly useless one.
The NI marketing guys should really have a thorough think about it.
So, it definitely has its uses, they are just really minimal and you only have 6 months to use it lol.

This is true, but that is a fixed pre-order. With the Total Studio Max deal, you cannot use jam points in conjunction with the promotional offer. It is probably just as well, because you are not allowed to transfer individual plugins within Total Studio Max - they are all tied to Total Studio Max, so you either transfer Total Studio Max, or none at all. IK's philosophy: you'll have nothing and like it.Fleer wrote:During the T-RackS 5 promotion you could (can) use JamPoints, bringing the upgrade down to $70 or so.

+1, it´s strange that they have a ton of libraries on offer (apparently they are selling enough of these to make it a viable business), but there´s nearly no talk on them to be found online.mgw38 wrote:The Ueberschall anniversary sale is tempting. I am currently digging through all the library descriptions, and a lot of the libraries seem to be construction kits for advertising, TV background music etc (Ueberschall themselves advertise many libraries like that), and the demo bank confirms that feeling ("mix", "full rhythm", "bd", "sd", "hh", etc - lego blocks for assembling pre-made songs). If that´s what´s needed, the demos largely sound very good, so when someone ever asks me for "that scene needs a bit of thrash metal, but we won´t pay to license some famous band´s song", I know where to go.
But there´s quite a few libraries that seem to be suited for regular musical use, too. I´ll probably drop $$$ on this one: https://www.ueberschall.com/de/product/149/Ambient and if it´s good, I´ll report
