Its because all those effects are achieved within the piano roll in FruityLoops, when using native FL instruments.
You can slide whole chords with special notes, that affect a specific midi group (note color), the duration of that extra note determines how long it takes for the affected notes to transition.
Its quite powerful in my opinion, you can mimic several playstyles easily. I remember back then that i was disappointed when i couldn't use piano roll with third party synths. "What??? You have to use a knob? Thats not very practical :D"

I guess FL users could still use your library if you made one?

The biggest fun is how the presets appear:
all on the screen covering everything or in tree structure submenus :)

Yeah, they could use it. Not the point. Why can't I have the same functionality as they do? It's like IL is saying to non FL Studio users, "screw you!"

They essentially made a VSTi for their users and everybody else can eat bugs.

Not the best way to make non FL Studio users happy.

I was just mansplaining to you, i know you cant do that on the vst versions.

Even though one could ask the question, why on earth u-he released a pure monophonic synth in 2016...
Could have been a polyphonic synth with a monophonic option...
How do you play legato lead lines with this thing?
Perhaps there are many people out there, who simply have no need for legato lead lines...
Hmmm, let´s think about that... when do I have used a legato lead sound.... hmmm
The answer is very easy : NEVER
:o
Good for you. It's a musical question, actually: take any woodwind, brass instrument, take a minimoog or... the human voice. All monophonic, all the time. So you've never in your life needed a legato behavior, that's very special and kind of super noob in terms of being, you know, a musician, but good for you.

Yes, because someone isn't an accomplished musician until he / she has, you know, mastered the ancient art of legato. :P

Not because I want to be that guy :D ..but what's the problem with legato? It can be done on any piano, guitar or what ever. Definition of legato according to the English Oxford dictionary, "In a smooth flowing manner, without breaks between notes". Perhaps you are actually talking about glissando? :p

Is it impossible to make? No.
Is it bogus to make it "difficult" like that? Yes a bit. But unfortunately if you're stubborn enough every solution is bad.
Is it necessary to be upset about it? No, just take it or leave it. Or maybe make a kind feature request before raging about it...

It got designed to do what it does and to many people it does a very good job. There are synths out there that aren't monophonic and nobody gives a damn about it. Maybe the bigger amount of people just doesn't need it!?

Legato, monophonically speaking, allows you to play successive notes without retriggering the envelopes while playing in a legato style. I think that the legato mode in a mono synth has the most noticeable impact on the filter envelope. FM synths typically have weak filters, if any at all. That being said, I think that Sytrus is more than an FM synth and it could make good use of a legato/retrigger mono mode.

I am pretty sure, that at least the half of modern music doesn´t content any legato instruments... But if you think, somebody isn´t a musician, because he doesn´t make use out of legato... :tu:

But that´s not the point...
If you want legato, take an instrument, which offers you legato...
But it´s wrong joking about an instrument, which doesn´t offer this for specific reasons...

That's nearly the price of Serum or Zebra2. Come on image-line, sort your prices out!

BTW, I own Harmor when it went on sale. :hihi:

I mean, FM8 is only £129 at full price, not including the yearly 50% off for Black Friday.
I got it from JRR Shop and between their normal discount and the group coupon code, it only cost me $125. Well worth it.

Sytrus is definitely worth it.

:scared: btw I knew this would be a topic from Wagtunes in his typical style :D
