Thanks Urs for this thinking, i.e. baby steps for tagging. As a Zebra user all Would care initially are the factory presets to work in NKS.Urs wrote: The idea is to gradually tag Zebra's content over time, then see how we go.

hi urs
i thought about my "naming the envelopes and filter etc."
it would be enough for me if i could just tag the envelopes after the factorynames and it must not show up anywhere... like:
env1 ---- my typed in name for it ----
env2 ---- my typed in name for it ----
vcf1 ---- my typed in name for it ----
and so on...
its just important to see it in the gui somewhere so its just a little sight away if i get confused by the time...
but Hz is still something i want very bad it would be so so unbelivable great if you could take hz amount... ...and maybe the designated tone to this hz like: 50 "G" , 100 "G2" , 200 "G3" and so on
this i really really would love to play with... and of course ms as adsr...
thanks for listening

Rob from U-he said this in another thread...vvilms wrote:Any update on the release of 2.8? How much longer do you reckon?
So don't expect Zebra 2.8 until after RePro-5.Since the Zebra2 v2.8 update will come with the new preset browser (tags, search, etc.) we will have to wait until the preset browser is actually finished.![]()
After the new preset browser is done, it will go into Repro-5 first, so the Repro-5 beta will basically be 2 betas in 1. If the new preset browser is well-received and we don't have to change too much about it, or nobody finds any bad bugs and crashes, we'll start putting the new preset browser into our other products. Zebra2 with the v2.8 update is first in line.
So without any specific dates in mind:
1) finish new preset browser
2) release Repro-5 beta with new preset browser
3) improve new preset browser
4) release Zebra2 update
The proximity of 4) depends on how extensive 3) turns out to be.

dont want to get on anybody nuts! make it short...
if i click on the left upper site on osc1 nothing is gonna happen because its a death not clickable nothing... so if i want to see the osc1 (or whatever osc) wave, i have to click the osc i want to process in the osc window down below...
it would help me alot if i could click in the upper left osctab and could choose a factorywave AND as soon i click on the leftupper osc i would to se the oscwindow below with its wave... you know since i work in the upperlefttabs i would to have everting just a few mmeters away befor i have to move the mouse in a nother direction to change the wave or be able to see the wavewindow
its just a workflow thing nothing fancy
watched the superbooth 17 video about the zebra2 update and felt like i have to write what i wont miss in zebra3

Some ideas for Z3
1. Add more strange/crappy digital filters - it's very 90ths/early 00ths thing. Lot of styles were built on crunch, overdrive and aliasing of such filters - good examples are EMU Z-Plane morph, Waldorf XTK resonance, Norg G1 filter overdrive. Digital artefacts are as important for sound as analog warmness.
2. Lofi behavior in oscillators and effects. Digital oscillators, Very low-res digital oscillators and say crunchy delays are really good.
3. Please keep macro-controls as XY or as separate macro knobs, but it make sense especially in case of FM. When one knob could control multiple params
4. Exact numbers entering. Sometimes it's so painful without it.
5. I remember we've already talked that it would be really interesting if VCOs would work as fm oscillators too.
I also have a question. Why no U-he synth except pro-1 has true mono behavior?

What are you defining as "true mono behavior"? Zebra2, Diva, Bazille, Ace, and Hive all have Mono modes: Retrigger/Mono, Legato, Duo/Duophonic.david.beholder wrote:I also have a question. Why no U-he synth except pro-1 has true mono behavior?

True mono behavior is when you have 1 voice in mono mode. All mentioned above synths has at least 2 voices in mono mode and alternating them.teilo wrote: What are you defining as "true mono behavior"? Zebra2, Diva, Bazille, Ace, and Hive all have Mono modes: Retrigger/Mono, Legato, Duo/Duophonic.
There are lot of small and medium sized things connected to this difference.
Murderous duck!
