Many thanks Phil, specifically the info I was looking for.Phil Sonic Academy wrote:You can set up custom folders in the browser from anywhere.. but if you drag and drop it asks if you want to copy the sample to the default user folder or just reference from there.

No talking, just flicking through a few sounds. Turning Live FX on/off where I've used them.
I'm no Psy aficionado though!

Sounds pretty hallucinogenic - believe me or not I saw a smiling mushroom on my screen when watching that your vid.
This apparenty should mean that ANA does proper psytrance.

Phil do you have some demo from tropical house, future bass or dubstep/completxtro ?Phil Sonic Academy wrote:Some Psy acidy type stuff.
Using a 3d Wavetable to FM mod a sine... with some self sync on the modulator at the same time.
If you watch the Macro controls you can kinda see whats going on.
please

Well, I finally got around to watching the YouTube vids. Kind of reminds me of what I'd describe as an "edgy" Dune 2.
If you can't make great sounding patches with this thing you need to sell all your equipment and take up needlepoint or something.

That is incredible actually, great jobtehlord wrote:A combination of sample oscillators, vowel filters, modulation and bitcrushing leads to a pointless, useless preset.

That kinda stretched and warped time stuttery sound seems as if it could be a USP for ANA2. As such sounds are not so easy to create outside of Ableton Live.

Completely agree. The sample oscillators are 'relatively' simple, but they've nailed the real time pitching so that you don't have a lot of crappy artefacts when you modulate the pitch. Here's an example of an original sample hit (the start of the audio) and the isolated oscillator from that patch you've already heard, which is also running through one vowel filter. What you can do with that original basic sample hit is awesome.Synthman2000 wrote:That is incredible actually, great jobtehlord wrote:A combination of sample oscillators, vowel filters, modulation and bitcrushing leads to a pointless, useless preset.
https://soundcloud.com/bluffmunkey/soni ... ss-madness... what parameters are giving it the "cyclic" time strech effect? Is there a live "lo-fi" kinda AKAI cyclic timestretch knob on the sample oscillators?... If not, then there should be ha ha... for ANA2.1

That's what I'm talking about, I'm sold.
So that is vowel and just pitch envelope (and panning or reverb/delay modulations ?), that gives some serious scope with so few parameters for deep and spacey sound effects.
I somehow knew ANA2 was going to be up my street since I owned Kick2. (quite complex to get to your custom kick right, esp compared with dumping a sample in) But once it is done you can sculpt every last detail of the sound with precision.

That's pretty much it. I haven't experimented with modulating loop start point yet, but that's a proper oldskool AKAI style trick.Synthman2000 wrote:![]()
