Low CPU usage eq (64bit)

Looking for a quality *parametric* eq that uses very little CPU
*64bit PLEASE*
Otherwise id use Easy eq and Engieers filter.
Currently I use FL 12.5 but quite honestly the parametric eq 2 is great on cpu but I really hate the way the graph displays frequencies. With it you can get a general idea of where the frequencies are most active.
But trying to be surgical with it is unbearable in my opinion, when trying to analyze a busy signal, like heavy bass or a full mix.

Try those 2, they're free:

BTW, once you're on TDR site, do yourself a favour and d/l the free Kotelnikov compressor and Nova EQ - they're awesome!

Still surprises me how little CPU it uses.

You can probably load 10 of these and they will still use less resources than any other eq. And it is free.

Waves SSL E-Channel and you get a compressor, gate/expander too. It's amazingly low on cpu usage, I use to use it on an old Q6600 and it wasn't noticeable.
FabFilter Pro-Q2 is good too, but uses more cpu than SSL one. You can only tell while using an old CPU tho.

There's Voxengo SPAN for analyzing, use EQ with your ears, you will make better mixes.Oneyejoe wrote:Currently I use FL 12.5 but quite honestly the parametric eq 2 is great on cpu but I really hate the way the graph displays frequencies. This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?

Kind of heavy handed, but the IK T-Racks freebie comes with an eq.
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/trcs/

You can use it on it's own.

If you like how the FL eq works I'd recommend the Toneboosters one in the track essentials bundle;
https://www.toneboosters.com/tb_trackessentials_v3.html
Verrry low CPU and it's very similar in operation except the monitoring is more 'standard' - i.e. a graph. The other plug-ins are great too. Worth every penny.
