I have guitar rig 5 (demo) with a U-PHORIA UM2 Behringer with ASIO v2
How can I use the effects, amps, cabinets etc. in Tracktion 7.
Tracktion was one of the recording options i had to download when i bought the UM2 but it does not have the effects i like in GR5. I only have the trial version of Tracktion so i want to know how to use GR5 in Tracktion without spending some extra $$$ on plugins.
Can you help?
Aria
Thanks!
How do I use the amps in Guitar Rig 5 in Tracktion?

Install Guitar Rig 5. In Tracktion, go to the settings tab, plugins, and hit "Scanning and Sorting", and scan the directory where the VST version of Guitar Rig 5 was installed, so that it shows up as a plugin in Tracktion.
Open an edit, go to the grey + arrow in the top right of the tracktion screen, and drag that to the right hand side of a track, and it will show you a list of plugins you can add to the track. Choose Guitar Rig 5.
Add your audio input to the left hand side of the same track, Turn on "Live Input Monitoring" on the audio input. Click the R button to arm the audio input. Record some audio, it should sound through Guitar Rig 5.

This video might help, it's for an older version of Tracktion, but the idea is the same
You might want to check out the other vids on the Tracktion site;

Two steps
1. Add the Guitar Rig 5 vst plugin in tracktion, select the vst file and drop it on tracktion settings>plugins
2. Add it on your mix, on the left panel>search>guitar rig 5, drag it to your guitar channel
then configure the amps/effects, for more info you shold look on the guitar rig 5 manual
