As an English person, if somebody called me silly rather than described an action I had performed as silly, I might take umbrage too.

If somebody I didn't know that well said 'You are silly' then I would find it ambiguous and would have to think about what they meant, and depending on the context I might well think they did mean 'stupid' or 'foolish', or they might mean your intended meaning.

Not knowing what they meant I would probably expect them to qualify it (which, of course, you did!), or be looking for non-verbal signs.

While we're off topic :) ... how did you find the film Urs? Living out in the middle of nowhere it will be a long time before I see it.

"Honey, look, I put this module here and that module there, it just felt better this way!"

(anyhow, I just did a quick test, Argos Bleak is amazing, but I still need a second quantizer next to it... or maybe I have to put more patience into setting up sequences... and while I find Data ugly as hell, it's display is absolutely beautiful)
Urs has caught the modular bug bad... there is no help for him now. I'm more into 5u hell, but it is hell none the less.
Why didn't any good standards settle on 4U? 5U is huge, 3U is annoyingly small, 4U would have been perfect.

It's one of those things that I think is taken as ok when it's self-referential but has the potential to offend and is often viewed as condescending, no matter the intent, when you label someone else. If you say "oh, I was just being silly", then people get that you mean non-serious and were just having a bit of fun.

Are there any plans for a soundset? That would be epic.

It's definitely worth waiting for. I don't think I have seen a scifi film like this in a long time, where there's nothing pretentious about it, yet no effect "just, because". Instead, many of its gimmicks I'd call "love for detail". The people who made this film did everything right. Mood, message, even Ryan Goslings always-half-asleep-eyes and limited capabilities for facial expression make him a perfect match.

My only point of critique at this time is the character played by Jared Leto, which I find paradox. Maybe he's supposed to be an element-of-Marlon-Brando-in-Apocalypse-Now, but then the film should have concentrated on him rather than Gosling. Maybe they can explain the character a bit more in a director's cut.

The music has a clear nod to Vangelis in the opening and end of the film, but is more pleasantly a score in-between than the original. It doesn't really have themes and it doesn't put itself in the foreground, i.e. the film isn't a music video. I'm glad we gave Hans a new reverb before Dunkirk, the film would've been awful if it was drenched in Zebra's old one.

There's even a great joke in there (nobody seemed to notice though, except me bursting out in a short laugh), when the original question ("Do Androids Dream..") is answered, but please everyone keep it for yourselves so not to spoil anyone here. I'll edit it out, even bad guesses.

Once Z2.8 is nodded off (which includes the reverb as well)

Thanks for the review! I am really looking forward to seeing it (when I can). Might be DVD though. I love the original so much (and its soundtrack) so it is great to hear that it is a worthy sequel (and that a Dick aficionado is happy).

In the selfie/snowflake generation I am sick of hearing how proud everybody is of themselves ... but u-he must be (deservedly) proud of themselves :tu:

But those are not embedded in the patch, i.e. can't be controlled by the same envelopes which create the other movement in the patch.
