Here is a quick tutorial on how to make a reverse reverb effect with MConvolutionMB. Its easy, fast and can make some interesting sounds.

Nice video.
I have a cool trick for you to play with.
Put the convolution inside MXXX. Leave the convolution dry/wet at 100% but change MXXX global dry/wet to 50%
In the modular put a "report latency" with the same delay settings (1/4 for example) before the convolution.
Now the reverse happens before the sound starts to play. Cool right?!
EDIT: You will also have to click the reset button in MXXX to re report the latency to the host.

Thanks for making that video Chandler. I'd never seen the point of the psycho mode before but now I'm really excited to try it out!

Thanks for the tip. I was going to try to do the same thing with the delay tap. I'll experiment and see which is better.jmg8 wrote:Nice video.

Thanks, I felt the same way, but now I love that mode.vectorwarrior wrote:Thanks for making that video Chandler. I'd never seen the point of the psycho mode before but now I'm really excited to try it out!
Vojtech - Is it possible to add a white noise mode to the synthetic impulse responses? I know it seems strange, but with the volume and HP/LP options I think it would be possible to create some really interesting rhythmic IRs, but the current modes decay too quickly. Of course I could make an IR myself, but I wouldn't be able to edit the length easily. Perhaps white/pink noise modes would allow things like this

thanks man you helped me to find my favorite sound
i think it was made the same way you shown it in your vid
i think a shorter reverb impulse was used
or is it something else

White noise: well, I suppose why not, but wouldn't it be better to have the "reverb" mode with an option to disable decay completely? I mean it's not just white noise.

That would be fine too. I just want something without any decay to play around with. I'm sure there are all sorts of crazy sound design possiblities.MeldaProduction wrote:

While looking at this, I noticed the 'report latency' module in MXXX is not alphabetized correctly:
