A nice overview of track modulation in T7/Waveform:

Now, I’m going to put on my “Captain Obvious” hat for a minute...
This modulation approach is as powerful as (and pre-dates) Bitwig’s amazing modulators. In fact, BWS modulator capability is essentially T7’s approach just with fancier graphics and more modulator options.
That excites me; the framework for expanding the capability in Waveform is already baked in. Hopefully in the future we will see more modulator types*, and perhaps (less importantly) some sort of improved interface/UI for organizing a bunch of modulators on a track.
What do you think?
DaveR in particular, what is the team’s view on this sort of thing? TSC really pioneered this concept; BWS has evolved it somewhat. I don’t believe it is a contest in anyway, but I am hoping that it is an easier thing to evolve/add since the foundation is there and rock solid.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Ehm, i wouldnt compare bitwig, renoise or reaper modulation - modulate anything with anything - with Tracktion which is very
limited.
limited.
