"I'm sure Don had a very good life, and I certainly respect his contributions - as I'm sure many will for years to come..."
Just to reiterate the above part, which I sincerly mean. He had a great life, made a great innovation, didn't get ripped off and become penniless, and died of old age.
Now, if he was decapitated in a bizzare accident involving his head in a box down by an organ, and the coroner ruled it 'suicide'... Then I'd be sad. What a way to go.

You are absolutely right. Just that the jokes here were very nice, kind, and respectful jokes and are far from mocking him or his work! That would have been if someone wrote something like " Aww, finaly, it was about time, couse his rotaries were slowing down too much already". Nobody did that. And that's the difference! PC fanatics often are not able to see such differentiation. I see you are not one of those.Amberience wrote:Its nothing to do with political correctness. I f**king hate PC people. Its about respect. Its just not very respectful to mock somebody when they've just died and makes you look like a c**t.

Rest in peace Mr.Leslie. You invented a sound device that crossed over to all styles of music, made some money and lived comfortably and lived longer than most.
Thank you for you contribution to 20th century music.
Tell Leo we said Hi.

I second that. Exactly what I thought when I heard the sad news.progfusion74 wrote:Deep Purple was the first band I ever got into so the Hammond and the Leslie hold a special place in my heart ....

Do you have a solution ... or are you a part of the problem?
