No brainer. I got it and I'm totally satisfied. Really great, with many multis also good for sound design.Fleer wrote:Don’t know about the sale extension on Virtuoso Ensembles, but if you can still get it, I would. Crazy price for the best sketching tool around.Rational wrote:
Edit: And is the Kirk Hunter deal for $89 a must buy? Something I'll regret not getting? They just extended the sale for 48 hours.

Will the Virtuoso Ensembles add something for me if I have Diamond, Concert Strings 2, Concert Brass 2 and Spotlight Solo Strings?Windy23451 wrote:No brainer. I got it and I'm totally satisfied. Not sure, but it will definitely subtract something (from your wallet)Will the Virtuoso Ensembles add something for me if I have Diamond, Concert Strings 2, Concert Brass 2 and Spotlight Solo Strings?

Virtuoso Ensembles is quite recent, about a year old, while Diamond is quite ancient. I have Concert Strings 2 and 3. Those are more detailed, with lots of articulations, like EW Hollywood Strings, while Virtuoso Ensembles are comparable to Spitfire Albion One. Spotlight Solo Strings are, well, solo strings, while Virtuoso Ensembles are, well, ensembles. Different tools for different uses.

Thanks. I bought the KH ensembles. You talked me into it. Didn't take much.
By the way, does everyone know that gearslutz now has their own deals thread too? FYI.
https://www.gearslutz.com/board/deal-zo ... ead-4.html
And a deals page similar to vstbuzz or audioplugin.deals. it's called gearplugz.deals
It's not active with deals each time, but hopefully they will ramp that up if they're smart. I tell ya, the market can bear at least another half dozen of those deals sites like them easily. I'd visit them all regularly. Do it up guys. The market will support it with purchases. Don't wait. Firstest with the mostest get's positioning in the mind. Just like VSTBuzz has it now. I remember when we were all curious if they were legit...
Now they're #1 in that segment.

I don't believe so. Xils runs sales very infrequently.shonky wrote:Does anyone know if Xils-Labs do Black Friday sales or are they one of those companies that are rather above all that type of shenanigans?

Does anyone know any info on how to purchase the ComputerMusic back issues while they're on sale? I use the zinio app and I'm not seeing the individual issues on sale with them. I'd like to fill in what I'm missing.
BUT, for others this may be of interest. I just installed the CM IOS app and they are offering ALL BACK ISSUES for a special offer of $47.99. That's 104 issues, with the vault downloads I assume, for cheap.
Now I'm curious if Electronic Musician, Future Music and MusicTech have similar sales right now? And how long the sale lasts? Please share if you find out. Might be until today only?
Edit: I've just confirmed that the Future Music ios app is offering all past 104 issues for $45.99.

EM/keyboard mag were doing backissues for 99 cents each up until yesterday via their app - that's the only type of deal I've seen them do.
The CM backissue deal sounds interesting, but it's only really the reviews that'd interest me and they are posted for free on musicradar.com - are there really many vault downloads that you'd get via those backissues that aren't included in the vault archive that you get access to by just buying the latest mag?

Yes. I believe a ton of downloads you otherwise wouldn't get. Each issue gives you different plugins and downloads. I don't believe you get the whole CM collection just by buying the latest magazine. If I'm wrong about that please let me know. You definitely get different loops and videos within the vault for each issue you own.

some CM plugins are one-off, but many joins the permanent team.

As for the loops, after a few weeks, some are uploaded here, some stay exclusive, I guess: http://www.musicradar.com/news/tech/fre ... tis-627820
