This only pertains to the Noise OSC. Once there has been a sample embedded when you click on the Noise label you will get the following
There's a bug at the moment where it doesn't show the name of the sample properly.
Hope that makes sense!
It's the 3rd thing I do..sqigls wrote:I'm half way through my track and haven't even opened the manual yet
Yes, exactly.. so much to explore... and yes, in the harmonic editor one can import single wavs or multiple wavs.. all in the manual and YES, it does treat them differently to the wee_Zebra.. well, if we could import OUR wavs into ZebLet osc.. we should be able to do it with Thorn.. surely that is what the OSC spirit is.. )))Taron wrote:Oh, pfff, why are you all posting songs already, pfff...there's so much to explore with this synth. It's like a sin to just go make a track with some presets, haha. And it's an incredible joy to make them with endless stuff to explore, but nearly no complication to get to the features.
ANYWAY! I've just spend a day over at the Thorn thread and folks there made me realize that you can import wavetables, or Cells into the oscillators. It will convert them into their spectral content, so this won't be like in Zebralette, where you could essentially do the same, too, but you also could use the sample pieces as is. Thorn does not do that. It only takes the spectral conversion for the oscillators AND for the harmonic filter, which could get even more amazing in terms of experiments.
So, to clarify: Of course, you must not load samples into the NOISE feature, because there it literally would use the samples as is. BUT you can totally import cells into the oscillators or the harmonic filter. I'm 100% convinced that it's absolutely in line with the OSC spirit and there ain't nothin' wrong with that!
Those are some really good percs!kokotte wrote:some presets i have made today:

Haha! But this synth is so good at quick and effective results. (as commercial synth should be) Awesome preset library, so much built-in effects and... distortionTaron wrote:Oh, pfff, why are you all posting songs already, pfff...there's so much to explore with this synth. Thanks! Everything is clear now.cb8rwh wrote:This only pertains to the Noise OSC. Once there has been a sample embedded when you click on the Noise label you will get the following
