Yeah the only other host I know that does this is Tracktion and its a godsend
I think both Cubase and Logic do this... also I kinda recall Studio One maybe so as well... same with Reaper

Subjective but that's the sexiest looking DAW!

Sharp UI, with small plug-ins...

This is actually one of the biggest improvements for me in Live 10, easily worth $100 alone, as it hugely improves the comfort of the work.
Introduces GUI bugs with some plugins, however.

Anyone knows if mousewheel zooming is really implemented? I can't find anyone talking about it.

Switched to BWS last year and this is not enough to make me come back to live

Well, then save quickly or borrow the money, because there's no better deal than upgrading 9 Standard to Suite now to receive 10 Suite for free when it's out. It seems only slightly less expensive than what I had to pay for 9 Suite -> 10 Suite, but you get all the extra 9 Suite stuff now.
Interesting, do you feel like all the extra stuff in suite is worth it? When i initially looked at what it offered i felt that i could cover most of it with my own plugins.
I think so, and I actually couldn't care less about Waveform or Echo (although I'll definitely be using both - they're great for native devices!). For me it's worth the upgrade because of:
- HiDPI (support of hires small screens, like my Surface Pro 4),
- multi-clip MIDI editing,
- trackpad zoom,
- integrated M4L (LFO, Shaper, etc.),
- capture (retrospective MIDI recording),
- grouping of groups,
- incremental saves, incl. undo history,
- etc.

Small things, but they really add up to meaningful workflow improvements :)

Don't have Cubase but Logic and Studio One don't, not sure about Reaper

Cubase does for sure... they were the first DAW to do so.

Logic has Capture Recording. It will capture what was played as long as Logic was playing (not recording). You can add the Capture Recording button by customizing the control bar.

Reaper has a script that does it... not as good as built-in, but does work.

I was pretty underwhelmed until I read:

"Max for Live devices can now send and receive SysEx, allowing deeper access to synthesizers—including full preset backup dumps, parameter control and more. Max for Live can also create custom control surfaces for custom hardware integration."

I also like the Library improvements.

Will wait to see how it shakes out

- the wavetable synth has cytomic filters. which i suppose is expected but is very nice (i wonder if he was involved with pedal, based on his recent work - the scream is fantastic)
The (edit: core analog modelling DSP for the) Pedal device was written in house at Ableton by Michael Massberg, who is an excellent developer that used to work at Brainworx. Pedal is written for Live customers that insist upon very low cpu overheads, so the detail in the modelling is limited deliberately to keep the cpu down.

The Scream is completely different beast, it is one of the most detailed analog models on the planet, where you can customise the value of every component. It models multiple stages of clipping including the input and output buffers, the slew rate of the op-amp, the op-amp voltage rails, the main clipping diodes (both in normal saturation and recombination saturation) and also includes advanced things like non-linear capacitor modelling in the drive section. It uses loads of cpu, and even when I add the low cpu MD mode it will still have more detail and cpu usage than the pedal device. The Scream also has very advanced oversampling options so you can get pristine results no matter how much you drive your signal.

The two devices will complement each other nicely, but Cytomic did not help in the writing of Pedal. When you want some basic drive that is a major step up from anything else previously available from a stock Live device then grab pedal. If you want the most detailed stomp box emulation on the planet that sounds identical to much prized and expensive analog units then use The Scream.

officially like this version, PR is still a joke, but at least the PR of FL(VST version) can be captured without any pain from now

And although I have Serum, the new Wavetable synth looks super cool.

But it's the new editing features I'm most interested in, and that updated Utility plugin gets a big thumbs up.. bass mono! Can't wait to see the changes in Push as well.

Logic doesn't really have it, at least not the way it works in other apps - it's called capture recording but is effectively no better than pressing record yourself as you have to have play running for it to work. Since the whole point of this sort of thing is so you don't need to remember to activate something for record to happen it's of no use to me as if I can remember to activate start I might as well just activate record anyway.

For me, editing multiple MIDI clips concurrently in the same editor is the best (and long overdue) new feature, bringing Live more in line with other composing environments. However, now I'm afraid it will be deemed "good enough" without further refinements.

It seems you have to keep all clips selected you wish to show in the editor, at all times. A way to "pin" a clip so that, once selected, it will stay visible in the editor until unpinned, would remedy a great deal of unnecessary selection management when editing multiple MIDI parts in relation to one another.
