They don't get the chance to gloat very often. :D

Overpriced for me.

Will continue on 9 til 11 is announced and jump versions. Good to have long term plans, no?

So if JRR shop isn't using coupons, is the official site the best to get the update now?

Certainly the quickest. No doubt the price is locked by Ableton, I doubt you'll find it
for less, during the promo. There is also something to be said from getting it at the source.
IME, they seem to be a lot more conducive to your requests in regard to support and such.
They will always get the most profit from direct customers, I'd be willing to bet they are
not oblivious to that.

Well, I would literally preorder Live 10 on day 1, but was hoping for some JRR Shop bargains still :?

Two ways to look at it:
- yes, if you consider what's added compared to 9
- no, if you consider it gets you 2-3 years of free updates

Agree, that's why I'm on the fence on whether or not to go through with my pre-order :)

Luckily, that's in like 3 months, so hope lots of things get clearer by then.

Although I will be busy to decide which PC platform to upgrade to. :dog: :ud:

If you preorder it (-20%) you can still cancel your preorder before release. And even then, if your payment fails you still have 14 days to fix it (or your order will be cancelled).

Obviously I know all this. By "going through with my preorder" I meant exactly whether or not should I do the payment when the time comes.

So pre-ordering is only reserving? Or do you have to pay now and download later? Couldn't figure that out yet.

I'm a bit hesitant to pay in advance for software, it's still three or more months to release time.

Well, it looks like you only pay 1 euro now to reserve Live and teh rest later. Don't know what happens when Live 10 is out.

Nice then, I thought I had to pay the whole 200 in advance. So reserving the discount is possible.
