But nevertheless price cuts seems revolution isn't spinnig money fast enough for 'em. so they have taken a leaf out of The Wire's book: If your product isn't selling, you need to rebrand it. So Wave Alchemy gonna bring out a "new" drum product called Attack soon.shonky wrote:And I'm pretty sure they did that deal a few weeks ago too.Numanoid wrote:Wave Alchemy trying to do a "Black Friday starting early" sales routine, offering their big drum rig at half price![]()

A new product using the name of Waldorf's rather ancient drum machine VST.Numanoid wrote:But nevertheless price cuts seems revolution isn't spinnig money fast enough for 'em. so they have taken a leaf out of The Wire's book: If your product isn't selling, you need to rebrand it. I like Wave Alchemy products, but seems they hired the ad man from Wusik during the summer.

I generally skip ads for products on Plugin Boutique because they are usually the least likely way to a) get information about the product and b) find what interesting things it can do, which are both kinda important to my mind.Numanoid wrote:I like Wave Alchemy products, but seems they hired the ad man from Wusik during the summer.
Mind you there was the show and tell video from Multiplier for Repro 1 which must have been a nice moneyspinner for basically flicking through presets and hitting a note or two - great job!!
Edit: Not that the ad was on PB, just a criticism of VST ads more generally.

I subscribed to Wave Alchemy newsletter, and there was a marked changed after the summer, suddenly they started shipping out offers every three days for Revolution at half price.shonky wrote:I generally skip ads for products on Plugin Boutique.Numanoid wrote:I like Wave Alchemy products, but seems they hired the ad man from Wusik during the summer.
Luckily PB aint that bad, at least they feature some new products in every newsletter.

I managed to go 2 days before succumbing to using the survey voucher to save 15% off The Dark Zebra add-on/soundset...Numanoid wrote:If that code should stop working, taking the u-he survey will yield a 15% voucher, to get Zebra at $170Fleer wrote:Add to cart with code Group: $167.16

This is me as well. Too many strings that I really don't use....Armadillo wrote:I have fallen into that trap many times. Exactly correct! The best deals will be had from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. Hold on to your budgets and just say no to these shady shenanigans. All of the "Black Friday comes early" bs is just trying to more of your money, they can't afford not to compete when Black Friday actually arrives.Numanoid wrote:Wave Alchemy trying to do a "Black Friday starting early" sales routine, offering their big drum rig at half price as usual![]()

Thinking I might go for Repro-1 instead, since it’s a cheaper option, for now.
Then wait until I see another Zebra2 license here later and pounce on it.

I feel like “it’s coming” in terms of the speed of u-he development means I’ll still have a lot of time to acquire, and subsequently play with, Zebra2 before Zebra3 is released. (And then there will be the typically sweet upgrade price, as per u-he’s MO.)Fleer wrote:Anyway, Zebra 3 is coming
This is by no means a criticism towards u-he. They just take their time and get plenty of feedback from the likes of us here on KVR to try and get as many people happy with a new product as possible. To draw a nerdy comparison to video game companies, I think of them like CD Projekt Red. Relatively small company who’s obsessed with the quality of their releases. Witcher 3 was in development for over 3.5 years, and it clearly paid off. It’s now widely considered to be one of the best video games ever released. The graphics are still a benchmark for open world titles, and the story and voice acting are stellar, which make it memorable after you stop playing.

That is a nice one! Not a lot of stuff out there recommended by the one and only JMJ.

Very cool-looking. Can't help but feel like it's slightly redundant to already owning Oddity2. (Yes, I realize that it's an Odyssey and a Solina and Omni all in one box.)mgw38 wrote:That is a nice one! Not a lot of stuff out there recommended by the one and only JMJ.
