But nevertheless price cuts seems revolution isn't spinnig money fast enough for 'em. so they have taken a leaf out of The Wire's book: If your product isn't selling, you need to rebrand it. So Wave Alchemy gonna bring out a "new" drum product called Attack soon.

I generally skip ads for products on Plugin Boutique because they are usually the least likely way to a) get information about the product and b) find what interesting things it can do, which are both kinda important to my mind.

Mind you there was the show and tell video from Multiplier for Repro 1 which must have been a nice moneyspinner for basically flicking through presets and hitting a note or two - great job!!

Edit: Not that the ad was on PB, just a criticism of VST ads more generally.

I subscribed to Wave Alchemy newsletter, and there was a marked changed after the summer, suddenly they started shipping out offers every three days for Revolution at half price.

Luckily PB aint that bad, at least they feature some new products in every newsletter.

I'll add how proud of myself I am for resisting the Dragon/Atlantica deal. I love the sounds but I don't really need them. Yay for me.

I have fallen into that trap many times. Unfortunately it tends to be expensive orchestral libraries that I have no clue how to use, and can't be resold.

This is me as well. Too many strings that I really don't use....

Exactly correct! The best deals will be had from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. Hold on to your budgets and just say no to these shady shenanigans. All of the "Black Friday comes early" bs is just trying to more of your money, they can't afford not to compete when Black Friday actually arrives.

Yeah I just got mine.

Thinking I might go for Repro-1 instead, since it’s a cheaper option, for now.

Then wait until I see another Zebra2 license here later and pounce on it.

Anyway, Zebra 3 is coming

I feel like “it’s coming” in terms of the speed of u-he development means I’ll still have a lot of time to acquire, and subsequently play with, Zebra2 before Zebra3 is released. (And then there will be the typically sweet upgrade price, as per u-he’s MO.)

This is by no means a criticism towards u-he. They just take their time and get plenty of feedback from the likes of us here on KVR to try and get as many people happy with a new product as possible. To draw a nerdy comparison to video game companies, I think of them like CD Projekt Red. Relatively small company who’s obsessed with the quality of their releases. Witcher 3 was in development for over 3.5 years, and it clearly paid off. It’s now widely considered to be one of the best video games ever released. The graphics are still a benchmark for open world titles, and the story and voice acting are stellar, which make it memorable after you stop playing.
