Hi - I have a very enthusiastic beginner friend, mainly playing piano, singing everywhere, etc. She wants to have a plugin that lets her "sound like she's singing in the shower".
Does Melda have a freebie reverb plug-in that works in Garageband?
If not ... does anyone know of one that does?
Thanks!

Thank you for that, Boone777! But though she is a very good piano player, and is completely addicted to music, she is almost completely computer-music naive ... that would be *much* too complicated and overwhelming at this stage for her!Boone777 wrote:You could try a convolution reverb and load a bathroom IR.
I guess though from your answer - there's no free Melda reverb that works in Garageband?
Thanks!

Did you bother to look at the list a free Melda plugins?alexis1 wrote:Boone777 wrote:I guess though from your answer - there's no free Melda reverb that works in Garageband?
Anyway I doubt any plugin free or not will sound like "in the shower". The orriginal answer is good. Try to find a free convolution reverb plugin (or by a Melda one) and look for a (free) impulse response of a shower or something shower like. Of course, if you have the equipment yould could do the IR recording for her.

Yes, I'm afraid the reverb is the answer, but MTurboReverb (nor LE) isn't free.

Ok, thank you for your answer. We'll get her started some other way, and maybe try working back to Melda again after a while. I wasn't sure Melda could be used in Garageband, at least from your answer it looks like it can!MeldaProduction wrote:Yes, I'm afraid the reverb is the answer, but MTurboReverb (nor LE) isn't free.

Yes it works, but be careful with the newest OSX update. Apple traditionally made their own apps dysfunctional
. Like half of the plugins out there doesn't seem to work with high sierra. Maybe they fixed it already, I doubt that though...
