haven't had a chance to load this up yet... anyone know if Element "can be hosted" inside a DAW as a vst?

I tried downloading the lite version. MS Windows Defender deleted the installer with comment that it contains virus.

I used to use both MS Essentials Security and Defender, but got too many false positives from Defender...satYatunes wrote:I tried downloading the lite version. MS Windows Defender deleted the installer with comment that it contains virus.
I *have* dl'd "Element-x64-0.8.0.exe" and while I have not installed it yet, I did not receive any notices of anything nefarious....
sorry it came up as a bug for ya. That is very annoying ;P

Trend Micro said it looked like ransom-ware and stopped it from installing, so I gave up at that point.
From the website it seems to be more of a modular synth (unless I'm misreading it) and also I don't understand what the differences are (or will be) between the free one and the paid one.
I'm more interested in a vst effects chain plugin, but not sure how useful Element would be for this.

I assure everybody this is not ransom ware. At the moment I don't have a code signing certificate for the windows version. Since people are actually starting to take notice and download it, I'll go ahead and start code signing.

This is a feature currently being developed. I plan on having "run as AU/VST" basics done in about a week.blortblort wrote:haven't had a chance to load this up yet... anyone know if Element "can be hosted" inside a DAW as a vst?

For many years, I used EnergyXT 1.41 as a modular FX and instrument sandbox in Ableton Live... I was *hoping* a goodie like your Element would happen!!!

website doesn't have any useful info either.
waste of time... looking at bluecat instead, looks really good..

Can I have more details about your system? Do you have alot of plugins? The app will scan for all plugins the first time it is launched before the GUI opens. The issue may very well be that it needs to show a progress window and/or prompt the user to scan on a first run. There is a support/feedback form on the website.inkwarp wrote:on windows 7 this does not work...

It doesn't do these things currently, but I can jot these down as possible features for the future.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Will it allow internal feedback connections?

I actually just uploaded a v0.10.0 version where Element can run in a DAW as AU/VST/VST3/AAX. Element can actually load itself, which is a smidge weird, but possible.blortblort wrote:kushview wrote:This is a feature currently being developed. Please be reminded everybody that Element is currently pre-release level software (like public beta). Please report any feedback here: https://kushview.net/feedback .
