Hi Urs,Urs wrote: We have added a consistent User preset location, i.e. one that also works on Windows and Linux.
There's no dedicated syncing tool, but I think a tool like Transmit etc. which can sync folders through a cloud will be fine.
I do not know if and how this will affect the database scanning. But as this takes less than a second for thousands of presets it should be fine.
If you however also want to sync your favourites, you will need to sync the databases themselves. I do not know at this point how that works. It might be something we'll need to address in future.

Actually I'm using iCloud Drive for all my studio preset libraries, templates and so on. So there is a dedicated folder for presets and it would be great if you make an option to place presets/favs/databases or whatever in custom user folder. But as I understood you wouldn't do that, especially for database?

Symlinking to the database files should be fine, no?

Bit undecided from my side... but not ruled out. Possibly a few audio render errors (clicks which aren't exactly like the hardware due to voice sleeping) and a few drawing issues at different scales. Also, there's a newer manual than in the installer.zvenx wrote:How are we looking for next week for a public beta? (I try to say nonchalantly as possible)

All in all however we're waiting for QA to confirm 41 tickets which are in review stage. I guess we can forgo smaller niggles and cosmetic stuff, but all serious issues need to be confirmed fixed first. It's best explained by a pie chart (which still includes Z2.8 issues and things to happen during public beta):
The red and pink area needs to melt down by quite a margin. Which might still take a few days.
As you can also see, I think the number of issues has gone up a bit since the last pie chart was posted. Which in part is result of internal beta testing. However, the severity has certainly gone down a lot, i.e. we're pretty much crash free atm.

Also, for those new to these pie charts... "issues" also include "tasks", "features" and "improvements"... they're not all bugs.

Why does the pie chart have a big hole in the middle?
I don't think you can call that a pie chart...it's an iris chart.
What's the difference between 'Ready for Review' and 'Filed'?

It's actually a thing, in case anyone thinks that it's a joke.
