nothing wrong with FL just its minimal starter third-party plugin pack is little bigger than the others

Ableton upgrade definitely overpriced. With FL Studio you will get free lifetime updates. Has anyone already pointed it out?

Or, you could do what I did. Build a highly capable Windows system for about $1100 out of OSX-supported hardware and then dual boot. Best of both worlds, really. Low cost commodity hardware with high performance; Windows for Sonar and all sorts of AAA gaming; boot in to OSX for Ableton and Cubase (or Logic if you prefer), NLE and photo stuff in Creative Cloud. Actually, not! I'm pretty close to going back to a windows machine myself, I just find the dongle reference stupid. There is plenty of software out there that runs on one platform only. It makes sense, as the owners of Logic, Apple would not be bothered developing their software for competitive platforms. It kind of demonstrates their self-confidence (some might say complete arrogance)

If Fl had complete undo, linear vsti+insert gui, ctrl+G rack, on the fly warping on track, auto make-unique, cut&paste plugin with automation I can fully stop using Live.
I often fiddle daw arbitrarily therefore those features are crucial for me to boost the workflow. I don't need to care much about things before commit to process because most things are undoable or changeable easily afterward in Live. But in FL undoing, re-routing and re-edit are mostly not easy. In other area, I prefer FL's functionality.

I brought FL Studio first to this thread because jacqueslacouth said that "Logic Pro X is the most outstanding value major player in DAW world." which is simply not true hence the free lifetime update you get only with FL Studio. If we talk about value in DAW world you hardly beat a lifetime free upgrade offer i guess.

The person who said that does not consider FL Studio a major DAW. Actually in theory, one of the main advantages of Delphi, is cross platform rapid development. You would think they should have had a Mac version long ago, also Linux.
