Is there a reason you are replying to someone who clearly wasnt talking to you?

I dunno, do I need to type the definition of PUBLIC FORUM for you? Apparently!

Act like a dick, get called a dick, that's how I see it. Pretty simple, really. In any case, it's clear that you're mostly interested in wagging your ego around and attacking others, so I'll bow out. I was just curious if you were self-aware, at all, about what a loathsome jerk you are. I have my answer now, thanks!

Peace, brothers!

I think one of my hair just got split

If you define "core sound" as the parts that make up the synth, then yes, they're pretty much the same. However, subtle (and some not-so-subtle) differences in features and levels make for quite a different palette of sound. Otherwise I guess the update would have taken weeks rather than months.

I won't be long anymore. Peeps at u-he are working feverishly on preps for public beta.

So it may be this week after all.
Nice!!
Thanks

And in my experience playing two notes at a time sounds different than playing one :hihi: :hihi:
But indeed there have been a lot of split hairs around here lately!

Very excited to hear that it's almost here! (in public beta form, of course)! The wait is almost over, folks!

Will .syx import make the 1.0 release? It sounds like the remaining dev time is going to be spent on the preset browser.
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM

Xanax anyone?

Smarties and Jelly tots are my preference. . Hence the "core" differance... one is chocolaty and the other gelatinous. . .. but I l9ve both and want both... so I cant wait for ReproRepro51  :tu:

I can't find any Cat SRM videos on Youtube that I can really tell sound different than the Cat SRM II version :( I also can't tell which version is which. :( I need u-he to make a Cat emulation or I will never hear what a Octave Cat SRM actually sounds like. :( Urs its totally your fault because I never would have known about these Cat things if you hadn't posted about them. :( You created the problem now you gotta fix it! I'm going to keep pestering you about a Cat emu now

...but I will wait till R5 and Z3 are out. :D

No Xanax? Hmm... maybe try some other AnXiolytic?

Post

This guy replaces almost all components in his CAT. :hihi:
"This synth is not the CAT SRM II - nor is it the CAT. It's the first version of the CAT SRM"
11:30 - "CAT SRM A1C"
12:30 - "I'll tell ya as I remember playing this thing it was one of the most thermally unstable devices known to man"
...replaces all electrolytic capacitors...
...here he tries to get rid of some ~30Hz beating by replacing old zener diodes
10:30 - "the boards do not match the schematics"
12:30 - position of 12V zener diodes on the board...replaces IC's...

Watching this makes me grateful I don't have ancient electronics to mess with.

Looks like it won't. Preset browser has the focus.
