Thoughts on Korg Gadget for $149? I bought the ios version ages ago, but never got to use it much before my iPad died and I was never going to buy another piece of icrap again. I always felt the Mac OS version was way overpriced at $300 but at $149 I might consider it.
My question would be, are the gadgets actually much chop? Will they actually add much to a typical KVR members arsenal (in other words suffering from long term chronic GAS, owning way more synths than I could ever possibly need or even use)?

The included plugins are great if you don’t mind thinking of them as tweakable romplers. Preset management is terrible. I think they sound great otherwise. Really good for sketching out ideas without having to muck about with sound design. One plugin = one style of sound (for the most part)jacqueslacouth wrote:Thoughts on Korg Gadget for $149? The app itself is pretty much exactly the same as the iOS version, but spread out into quads instead of single pages. If you like the app, you’ll like the desktop version.

Just a heads up to be aware of.
Probably should be posted on the "No Chat" as well?

Because of the Native Instruments Thanksgiving offer, the license transfer service is not available from November 14-30, 2017. During this time, the NI support team won't be able to process license transfer requests. But the service will be back online from December 1 onward.

I just got my email directly from Slate about my renewal and the deal is, if I renew without cancelling or pausing it's $149, not the regular $179.wfm wrote:Just got the Gobbler email that my Slate Everything bundle will renew on 11/21 for $179.
Just have to wonder if I should cancel my subscription & then 're-up' when the Slate Black Friday deals get posted. Thoughts?

Sennheiser Drummic'a is a free Kontakt Player instrument, it qualifies for crossgrade to the full version of Kontakt which can then be used to crossgrade up to Komplete. Works out a lot cheaper that way.
http://sennheiser.us/drummica.html
The page is all in German but its a pretty straightforward process to register and get your serial.
There's an old thread on here about it too. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&t=441404
You don't have permission to access /sennheiser/drummica/static/DrumMicA.zip on this server."
Has anyone else been able to download it?
Unless you really want to use Drummic'a, you don't need to download the library in order to use it for crossgrade. Just login to your Native Access account then add Drummic'a serial number. Once it go through, you should be able to croosgrade after adding Kontakt 5 to the cart.
Good luck.
I'd still like to get Drummic'a at some point but this worked for now!

It will be on sale again, it's too controversial and too expensive not to. Those of us who bought in might regret it when focusrite gives it away in a few months.dandezebra wrote:I somehow exerted willpower and did not...Rational wrote:To Frei:Raum or not to Frei:Raum. That is the question.

Bit the bullet and finally bought Komplete but am a bit annoyed that I can't use my e-voucher in conjunction with the current sale. Think I might get Replika XT later (as the upgrade will be the same if I buy it now or in the next six months using the voucher) but was wondering if anyone had any experience with Molekular? Looked pretty interesting but given that I've now got FM8, Massive, Reaktor and all its offspring to dive into, not sure if more stuff is necessarily a good idea at present.

Molekular was a partnership with Zynaptic AFAIK. It's weird and, like Zynaptic stuff, a bit hard to get into, but worth the effort.shonky wrote:Bit the bullet and finally bought Komplete but am a bit annoyed that I can't use my e-voucher in conjunction with the current sale. Also, RC24 and RC48 are delicious.

Think I'll probably get it, looks awesome for strange textures - the Simon Stockhausen "Piano meets Molekular" youtube vid shows it off really well.ghettosynth wrote:Molekular was a partnership with Zynaptic AFAIK. Yep. I just bought it too just now after watching a bunch of videos. Some of them really show what it can do to bring out clarity and presence quickly and easily. A real time saver. Or it can add reverb instead of taking it away. So it combines some aspects of deverb, RX and an EQ in one. With smart EQ listening to speed it all up. Pretty good for $59 actually.shonky wrote:Think I'll probably get it, looks awesome for strange textures - the Simon Stockhausen "Piano meets Molekular" youtube vid shows it off really well.ghettosynth wrote:Molekular was a partnership with Zynaptic AFAIK. Worth watching some of the videos out there to see the potential.
