It was more like I bought other software in a big sale and his one was in that package too. I installed it but never got the right connection to it. I didn't uninstall it because I hoped I would use it one day. But now I feel like that day won't happen and I hardly disrespect devs like him who can't manage their s**t and then insult on customers. So everything is fine. Sometimes it just needs someone to open the others eyes and make decissions for you.whyterabbyt wrote:I really wouldnt want anyone to stop using tools they'd already paid for, that's affecting entirely the wrong person; it should be William who changes his behaviour, not his customers.DocSnyder wrote:Wow. One time, there was a rock in my shoe. I walked around with that rock in my shoe for days, weeks even. I could have taken it out and forgotten about it, but that wasn't my responsibility. I wasn't the one who put the rock in my shoe. Therefore, I shouldn't be the one to have to take it out. It's the principle of it. It would have been so incredibly easy to do, but I just couldn't, because of my principles. Instead, I just swore at every rock I saw, hoping that they would repent their sinful ways and stop getting into my shoes.
I also got on my favorite hiking forum and told everyone I knew never to trust rocks, ever again.

Well, when you spam his thread like you did, is it any wonder he started calling you names? You trolled him hard. That doesn't excuse his practices, but again, at least he included an unsubscribe link in the latest emails. I used it, so I guess I'll see if that really works or not.

For this to be more on point, the rock wouldn't just be there in your shoe. Someone put it there. Then you took it out and asked them not to put rocks in your shoes. They said they wouldn't. Then they did, but they said the rock must have accidentally fallen there and it wouldn't happen again. Then it did. Repeat for years. Even though you can take the rock out easily enough, the person should just stop putting the rock there.funky lime wrote:One time, there was a rock in my shoe. In a perfect world, yes. But if the solution to your ailment is literally one click of a mouse, it seems a bit extreme to use one lone spammer as a proxy to vent one's frustrations about principles and how unfair/cruel the world is. The world isn't fair, and if we think screaming about one ignoramus is going to change all of that, maybe we're delusional. All I'm saying is, click "mark as spam," and go worry about something else, rather than using a forum as a soapbox to slander the name of an annoying developer who can quite easily just be ignored instead.D.H. I'm not defending the practice. I'm just saying, we aren't entitled to having all 7+ billion inhabitants of this planet behaving in a manner that we deem to adhere to appropriate e-commerce etiquette. Mark as spam, don't buy his products, and go be happy.
Of course we're all free to bash whomever we choose, and for whatever reasons we choose, but it doesn't seem effective, especially considering the dev in question poked his head in and essentially said "piss off, i'm out of here" anyway.

Yep, but here it would really disrupt conversations to have everyone talking to ghosts.ghettosynth wrote:

I wonder how many times that has happened. How permanent is 'suspended' is it like a timed deal, or what?ATN69 wrote: William K is listed as suspended

^Yes, "suspended" is a timed deal. The time can vary.

Because you are suspending William for not unsubscribing customers, why not suspend whyterabbyt for cyberbullying? I've never seen such a tantrum. Two wrongs don't make a right

I suspect that he hasn't been suspended for being a spammer, but for sending abusive messages to Whyterabbyt.
Which if is the case, he's very lucky it wasn't a perm ban. I'm not sure many would have escaped so leniently.
And as WR trolled Wusik off board, for which I'm sure kvr mods have no responsibility, there's no reason for him to be punished here.

I spent a life time dealing with my Bipolar brother. We always had to be extra forgiving and supportive
and he took full advantage of it.
It got worse when he stopped getting the kind of attention he got when he was younger
Constantly went off of his meds,it started to seem like he was doing it on purpose
They might has well have put a revolving doors in the local mental health facilities.
Finally I had to get away from it. It was starting to drive me crazy. I feel bad about it,but how do you
help someone who is always self sabotaging?
