Still has that annoying niggle where when you scroll "down", nothing happens, but when you scroll "up", you see the additional presets. I remember mentioning this a while back and Urs, you responded that it was on the list to fix. Yes, a small issue, but one I encounter quite frequently when scrolling through presets. Thanks for looking into it!

This is definitely a major improvement to one of the few areas where U-He was comparably lacking.
Zebra needs this badly, but that goes without saying...

I was trying to figure out what I did wrong as no presets were coming up with basic cateogory tag selections. On the first post it said repro-5 doesn' thave thoroughly tagged presets, so I thought there was basic tags maybe, but it doesn't seem that any category I've tried has any presets tagged. Right?

Scrollwheel direction is reversed in all u-he plugins. Yep, annoying over here as well.fourthmanfire wrote:Still has that annoying niggle where when you scroll "down", nothing happens, but when you scroll "up", you see the additional presets. Preset browser is fantastic!
Except for the blocky-moving scrollbar, since it feels very weird and non intuitive. IMO either:
- Content pixelwise scroll, scrollbar pixelscroll. Like when the next page is reached while moving scrollbar, there is a quick content scroll transition to the next page.
- Another scrollbar concept, like a "flexible tabbar": [XXX| | ] <- for 3 pages
- Or at least indicate the full scrollbar area with a slight grey

So when I select a category in the tag browser, the preset list doesn't change. Am I right that when you select a category, say "Pads", you also have to select a sub category to filter? So if you just want to bring up all pads for example, you need to first select pads, and then "Any"? Or pads, sub category "pads"? That seems redundant. Why is there always a repeat of the category under the sub category?

Exactly the point a few of us raised during internal beta. Also Funkybot on page 1 of this thread:

I should have read the whole thread first, I see others have made the point. Yeah kind of unintuitive to have to select any after a category. And I can't realy see what the different between pads/pads or pads/any would be.

There's a ticket for that already IIRCFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Also...who put "Mark as Junk" above "Mark as Favourite" in the menu?

That's a good idea actually. The Favs are our concept of custom tags, I think this would be a nice refinement in the future.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:On the subject of Favourites (inefficient UK spelling): it would be nice if we could rename the Favourites folders under the directory tab rather than just showing Favourites 1, Favourites 2, etc. I'm going to want to put some type of logic behind what presets get categorized as what type of favorite.
We see the current incarnation of the browser as first step. We'll discuss and add more features in future, based on the experience of you guys out there.

It's something I always forget to put in our ticket system. I too think it's a good idea to store them in a text file as well. I'll bring it up!zvenx wrote:Another possible limitation for me with a non editable favourites database is sometimes I move stuff.

Absolutely!Stollmeister wrote:This will be extremely useful for Zebra!
Zebra 2.8 will come with the search functionality and the favourites, but not (yet) with the tags.

That's one of the quircks we're hoping to solve sooner rather than later. There was a last minute change to how this works, so what's there now might not be the final word on it.Echoes in the Attic wrote:So when I select a category in the tag browser, the preset list doesn't change.
