No HQ is pretty much like great/Divine in Diva with 4x oversampling in the filter, whereas HQ is 8x, i.e. better than Diva (but also required due to greater frequency range in CEM 3320 filters).
Also how come no zzzz mode?
It's always on zZz. Otherwise it would suck 40% or so permanently, even when a voice is idle.

Aha! Sorry for the triple post. Found the solution. Deleting the old Repro-1 did the trick. Not sure if it's worth investigating any further now that there's a solution, but my "bug report" is out there nonetheless should you choose to pursue it. Thanks Urs and company - reallly looking forward to this.

Well I'm on a roll, might as well go for 4 posts. I lurk here every day, so perhaps I'm just getting all my posts out at once haha.

Minor thing - I went to click on the preferences cog/wheel to change the default size and it took me quite a few seconds to realize the cogwheel wasn't clickable, but it was the button beneath that was. Not sure if others experienced this (or care) or if this is personal, but it confused the mess out of me for a tiny bit.

No issues here with MIDI Learn in Studio One x64 using the VST2 version. Are you using VST3? If so, try the VST2 instead.

Same here. I think they can increase the size of the clickable area behind the scenes to include the cog above it.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing around with Repro-5, but unfortunately, I can't get either version of Repro-1 to open without an immediate crash. Please let me know if you need additional information to help diagnose things.
Don't uninstall Repro then, just remove the actual VST manually. That's what I did and now it works fine.

As expected, this sounds absolutely phenomenal. :tu:

Outstanding + every other superlative you might think up :tu:

I agree that there should be an option to keep multi-core enabled.
Those for whom it works better can keep it enabled, and those for whom it doesn't can keep it disabled.

Similarly, I don't see a reason why there are not separate online/offline HQ settings across the entire U-He product line.

Tweaked one of the presets and chucked it through some SoundToys and Lexicon, liking what I'm hearing from this.

Although it is quite high (with HQ enabled and no voice reallocating though), i find this acceptable considering the quality of the sound. Blown away by this thing!
I have same setup and same DAW just my CPU is set to variate from 4ghz to 4.5ghz and so far Prophet runs pretty good. Did you enabled 8 threads in the plugin settings? i noticed that it does make quite a difference.

Edit: tried it in Reaper, no problem. Seems to be an issue only with FL Studio.
Yikes, always trouble with FL Studio. Yep, there is something wrong with Repro-5's sample&hold in FL Studio. It sounds like the s&h runs on a much too high frequency while FL Studio plays. Very weird, thanks a lot for spotting. I'll make a ticket for this, so we can check out what's going on there next week.
Indeed something weird is happening, i just compared that patch in FL Studio and Studio One. Usualy in FL Studio puting Fixed size buffers setting on in wrapper helps with that in Hive, but not with Prophet.

1 installer, 2 synths, 1 DATA FOLDER ?
i mean where is [Repro-5.data] folder?

I found 2 bugs:

1. Sometimes when opening browser or other plugin window Repro 5 for few milseconds shows white lines in between modules.
2. When lowering plugin size lower then 100% whole plugin looks a little blurry and you have to turn off text aliasing to make at least text readable.

Ok, and something not usual to me, if play lower notes you can clearly hear how the filter is being cut while on higher notes it does not unless you apply Filter Envelope Amount to a 50%. Is it normal synth behaviour?

Post

Great sounding synth. I will never own a real Prophet 5, but the *vibe* you get from playing some of these pads/strings/keys is lovely. :tu:

I also like how the effects off is a global switch, so they stay off when switching presets.

Regarding multi-core: I have issues with Bazille using MC. Huge CPU spikes with 2 instances with MC enabled, once the playback is looped and the loop gets to the start again. With Repro-5 this issue is not present anymore. Are there differences in MC handling between Bazille and Repro?
