That should work when you put the hashtag in quotation marks. For example: "#test". This doesn't work at the moment, but that's a bug we will fix.hakey wrote:And a request/suggestion - allow hashtags in the description field to be returned in browser searches.

Okay, I think my hashtag idea probably over complicates things.
Adding appropriate keywords in the description field will do the same thing. Perhaps this might be encouraged?
It solves the 'there's no tag for X' problem.

I generally just want to browse folders, never bothered with favourites, ratings and stuff like that. But with the new browser, I feel like I'm looking at the presets thru a small hole. It looks like there's only room for 2 columns unlike in DIVA where I can see 4 columns of presets. If there is only a handfull of presets (as we have in the beta) then you can get away with it, but I'd hate to be browsing thru all my Zebra and Zebra Hz patches through this little window.
I would like to see an option to hide the keyboard/fx area to give a lot more space for the preset list. Something like this perhaps?

Oh, by the way, I realise I can close the preset info to get more presets visible, but I find the Usage stuff very useful when trying out presets.
Cheers

^ Like he said ^ Could we have a 'PATCH MACHINE' mode that can be switched on or off where the preset browser becomes a 4 column pure patch machine?

But there it is. Just collapse all folders except Local and User and never go to TAGS tab. There you go.

I'd like to see "Tag this Patch" also added to the right click menu in the browser itself. Would be more intuitive there along with the other options.Would be ok with keeping it as the right click on the save button too, just also putting it in the browser itself.

Sorry EvilDragon, but I think you've missed the point. That doesn't make any more room for preset display. DIVA can show 76 presets at any one time, as well as the preset info and the folder view.EvilDragon wrote:But there it is. Just collapse all folders except Local and User and never go to TAGS tab. This new browser can only show 40 presets, with the folder/tag view and the info. That's nearly half the presets hidden compared to the DIVA browser, a definite downgrade for me. So what I'm suggesting is to use the space taken up by the keyboard/fx for the browser.
I wonder if anyone has a need to see the keyboard/fx view when browsing or tagging presets? If so perhaps it could be a preference setting or personally I would prefer a switch on the top of the GUI next to Tweaks.

Agree. No need to show the keyboard and effects there. That space would be better served dedicated to the browser.

Press the hamburger button in the top right of preset browser, disable "Show preset info". Voila, extra column, 57 presets visible, no skin tweaks necessary.

I was trying to make it happen on my customized skins. By playing with the built-in skin editor I've figured out how to edit the graphic resources to get the visual aspect of it right (that took all of two seconds), but the damn keyboard/effects pane beneath the presets still gets mouse priority. I spent almost an hour trying to figure that out and gave up. If anyone understands the skin editor and can explain how to move the keyboard behind the presets in only that view, hit me up with a PM.pdxindy wrote:I would like that option...Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Agree.
