Uhbik 2017

For me the only real issue with the uhbiks is the relative lack of modulation because most of the uhbik parameters modulate really well and therefore seem to be crying out for it. And while host automation is fine (particularly in modulation rich hosts like bitwig or maxforlive) built in modulators are always preferable. I seem to recall that originally this was meant to be provided by another uhbik (X, maybe?) which was to be an environment into which the other ones could be loaded, routed and modulated. I still think this is an excellent idea.

That would be spectacular. kiloHearts SnapHeap does this across 4 serial or parallel lanes with 2 LFOs and 2 Envelopes, 8 Macros, and MIDI expression. Those standalone plugins were developed to be placed in Snapheap so not sure how difficult it would be to retrofit the Uhbiks that way.suthnear wrote:I seem to recall that originally this was meant to be provided by another uhbik (X, maybe?) which was to be an environment into which the other ones could be loaded, routed and modulated. Doesn't even have to be loaded into a rack, I think. Would be more powerful outside a rack since you could put them on different tracks/busses but have them in sync. If it could be something like how Satin coordinates with other instances, the master modulator would inform subscribed uhbiks of the modulation parameters. But each uhbik would modulate itself based on those parameters. Might get a little hairy if the master modulator is itself modulated.

would love to see uhbiks for:
- jaws wavefolder
- lyrebird
- bazilles spring reverb
now the important stuff
- bazilles oscilloscope, sizeable, changeable colors, better tweakability, proper sync
- VU-meter from satin / presswerk, sizeable, tweakable
ringmod would be nice too

It'd be great in general if they released the filters and fx from their synths.

Coincidentally, those three are on top of our "Product Ideas" table for effects we'd release on their own. Neither is suited for surround processing as of today since the stereo mode is borderline CPU intensive. Or, in case of Lyrebird, there's a concept of usage that's just better suited for a stereo only plug-in. JAWS is a bit tricky anyway due to its possible mono-incompatibility.KarlKante wrote:- jaws wavefolder

I like the u-he resonators. The ZebraHZ resonator seems a lot more refined than the somewhat brutal one in Repro-1. But that might just be the synth in front of it. That Repro resonator is more bruatl than JAWS even. Repro + JAWS + RESQ = NIGHTMARES
In any case please please include the ZebraHZ resonator in Zebra3.

Yeah, resonator and oscilloscope...
We have 3 or 4 oscilloscope projects which were started by developers over the years. Gotta one day finish one.

Sounds great.
Will this be in the current Uhbik version or will there be a V2 at some point?
