I am a poor and dumb guitar player that hopes a pedal will fix my bad playing, or an eventide bundle upgrade
Just one more haha

I was hoping the drum machine was better than that, but thanks for the info.soundbylaura wrote:I've had the Boom drum machine for years (it comes with pro tools). It's... fine.

You should really try out Blue Cat Destructor if you haven’t already. Fantastic guitar tone tool that can basically do anything you want, and a good value considering its versatility imo.michaeltn86 wrote:I am a poor and dumb guitar player that hopes a pedal will fix my bad playing, or an eventide bundle upgrade

The latest update introduced a zoomable/scalable UI.
I’m working on collecting guitar-related plugins to use with Cantabile so I can ditch my pedalboard.

Interesting. Bought Tantra over Liquid music last year but my eyes are still on LM.ghettosynth wrote:Just a note on getting Liquid Music from WaveDNA. They currently have a 1/2 off offer so that Liquid Music can be had for $99, normally $199.
However! If you go over to Plugin Boutique you can get Liquid Rhythm for 80% off @ $19. That's the full product, not the intro version which is also priced at $19 currently from WaveDNA. Then you can head over to WaveDNA to get the LiquidRhythm to LiquidMusic upgrade for $49, total cost $78!
Should the total be $68?
Edit: Srry meant got Tantra over Movement which make no sense.
https://output.com/products/movement
Only 25% off
But in any case I am interested in Liquid Music

With the the demise of Sonar am looking at the Cubase 7.5 to 9.5 update at $199. Is this the normal price? Will there be a lower price within lets say the next two months?

Well, I thought that the "painting" might be a bit cheesy, but, it works much better than I thought that it would for adjusting subtle movement in chord lines. My skill at finding the right inversion at the right time is pretty meh and this helps take my ideas and allows me to make subtle adjustments fairly easily.Kalamata Kid wrote:LOL! Yes, doh! It's a generative weekend for me. I'll be grabbing Stochas as well.

Generative and VST midi effects and oddball plugins are what I am looking for this year. I will review Liquid Music and make he decision.ghettosynth wrote:Well, I thought that the "painting" might be a bit cheesy, but, it works much better than I thought that it would for adjusting subtle movement in chord lines. My concern is how much music theory is required to make LM work?
Also concerned that LM is made for Ableton Live. I do not have Live so how much less functionality do I have?

I know it's not officially Black Friday yet in the US, but this year's crop of loop/sample pack offerings leave me wanting.
This Hex Loops pack for $9.99 looks like a good one if you like drums:

Another others out there I'm overlooking?

I don't think any music theory is required, per se, but a good understanding of the fundamentals (like knowing what a bar, beat, scale, note, chord, melody, etc. is) and how they relate will be very beneficial.Kalamata Kid wrote:My concern is how much music theory is required to make LM work?
Also, Liquid Music requires Java, if that's a showstopper for anyone.

I would definitely check out some other reviews about it. Boom is probably a lot like XPand!2 in that it looks simple but has a lot under the hood.
