Have you tried the 'Ideal' Osc type?hakey wrote:Don't think so. You can get close, but they still drift slowly.
And, I can't be sure, but I suspect that the offset is slightly different per voice.
Edit - yeah, each voice is different, at least for the P5 oscillator (just like the real thing).

There is a way to overwrite the factory init preset... not remembering at the momentmholloway wrote:Yeah, that’s probably what I’ll do, thanks.Frantz wrote:Why don't you save a new init patch with your name in it?
I liked loading the factory init simply because I could do it quickly by right clicking the Preset Name area on the main page and then selecting it (it’s always there, down at the bottom) — this meant I didn’t have to actually switch pages to the preset page and sort through any folders. So it was just fast, but means having to enter my name again.

As I've already written in this thread and in the other thread about the Browser, it's simply a bug at the moment. Once it's fixed, you'll be able to do exactly this, load the init preset from the bottom of the main display menu, and it will remember your preferred author name.mholloway wrote:I liked loading the factory init simply because I could do it quickly by right clicking the Preset Name area on the main page and then selecting it (it’s always there, down at the bottom) — this meant I didn’t have to actually switch pages to the preset page and sort through any folders. Ah, great. I didn’t see your post here (or there) about it. These threads have gotten rather deep and it’s easy to miss stuff! Oh, that makes sense. Thanks for the summary.Subarumannen wrote:According to wise guys (Ardour and Carla devs) that looked into this it indeed seems to be incompability with system libs since none of the other hosts can even scan Repro Beta VST. The plugin throws an exception. The reason it might work in Bitwig could be that Bitwig supposedly doesn't use any C++ by itself...spacepluk wrote:Hmm, if it works on Bitwig then it's not a system lib incompatibility, there must be something else going on... Does it work if you try to load Repro before any other VSTs in an empty Ardour project?Subarumannen wrote:If someone dosen't get Repro-1/5 running in KXStudio 14.04 (and possible Ubuntu 14.04) there seem to be some system libs incompatibility issues between those two since there are multiple users having the exact same experience.
I can run all other U-He stuff including previous versions of Repro-1 but the beta is a different creature.. Ardour and Carla as well as Reaper (linux) dosen't succeed scanning the pugin and accept it.. Bitwig is able to make it work but I don't have Bitwig and I am to old for Bitwig style music anyway![]()
more info in the linux public beta thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=424953&start=1065#p6932909
also i am wondering if one users similar experience with Windows 7 is related..
He can run all other U-he stuff except the latest Repros..

I hope we can find the reason for this issue![]()

This is what I have picked up reading the devs trying to debug the issue.
If Ardour, Carla, Renoise and Reaper all runs every U-he plugin just fine except the Beta, it sure seems like the Beta is at least very different to the rest of the U-he plugins. I would guess there is an gcc4/gcc5 ABI issue like falktx suggested.

@Everyone who sends me reports about posts these days. I'm tired of coming here only to find a bunch of these pesky reports. It always urges me to find posts, reading them, finding the cause, who started it, did he really mean it this way and all of that. Sometimes I sit here 30 minutes trying to figure out what happened. So here's a simple rule if you need me to moderate:
Don't report posts unless *you* have been insulted directly. If *you* are called names in a post, I'll edit it on *your* request. If someone says something you don't agree on, post reply in civil manner, without insulting anyone else.
Most importantly: Think before you post.

What happened to the Sequencer?
Repro-5 sounds very good but is only half as useful without the sequencer/arpeggiator

Explained too many times already. SCI Prophet-5 didn't have a seq/arp and Repro-5 is intended by u-he as the closest, truest emulation of the original as possible.

But what a huge shame, my main reason for using the Repro-1 is the Sequencer. I am a lot less excited about the Repro-5 now

@HunterKiller you are all small talk and excuses, still. every time I call you out, you enable Bernie Sanders and hide under a rock. all talk, no action. this was the third time you did it. I think you've embarrassed yourself just enough, yet I call you out again. but the deal is now fresh. when you make OOMT patch for Repro-5 as if you were a freaking Richard Wright himself doing it for the Floyd record in 1979, no less, then you calling Walter's and my takes "horrible" will be deemed fair and justified. then I will know what you're about. do it and prove it, talk is small. until then, save your breath and save your excuses. I don't care. patch or bust. and make damn sure that patch is a bloody masterpiece. adios hombre!I am not going to make a patch, because...

The main reason we made Repro-5 is polyphony. There's no need for a sequencer in it as Repro-1 already has one.memyselfandi wrote:But what a huge shame, my main reason for using the Repro-1 is the Sequencer. I am a lot less excited about the Repro-5 now

Maybe not in Prophet 5 but the Prophet 10 included a step sequencer:

With a step sequencer you could transpose the pitch in realtime by playing keys (like in the video) so using your host is no replacement...AnX wrote:Your host has a sequencer...
WIth a recording you might substitute a step sequuencer with a piano roll of your host but not when playing in real-time.
