I don't think any music theory is required, per se, but a good understanding of the fundamentals (like knowing what a bar, beat, scale, note, chord, melody, etc. is) and how they relate will be very beneficial.

Also, Liquid Music requires Java, if that's a showstopper for anyone.
I will check out some videos and reviews and then decide, but it is not looking too good. I can hardly spell mousic Music so ML may be one of the plugin that gathers dust.

Edit;
But then again $68 seems reasonable and have yet to spend any money on BF sales.

Edit:
It seems that Liquid music is a stand-alone and not a plugin.

Ah, that one doesn't work on liquidsonics seventh heaven either.

Does anyone know if you can get the seventh heaven bundle cheaper than 199 or is that the best available price?

Thanks again. I'll do that, but saying "It's... fine" isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. :hihi:

I hadn't heard of that. Have you tried it out? It looks interesting, though I guess it doesn't work with Ableton. That is pretty much all I can find on it. And a YouTube video.

I am getting stochas as well - been trying it out in Reaper and it seems stable and useful for the price. Also bought liquid rhythm and kirnu cream. They are very cheap at the moment

Anything else you have noticed?

Stochas now $30 for the USA.
Seems interesting.
I will get it.

Is the "free Best Service Galaxy X-FX" deal still on at JRR Shop? Tried adding it to an order over $110 and its showing up as costing $66.50. :(

Wow - looks like the upgrades for soundtoys are more expensive today. What was going to cost me $100 is now $130. Did this happen to anyone else?

I was wondering how mine was so freaking cheap. I only own all the small plugs and one regular one and it was only $50

Odd considering Black Friday technically hasn't even started yet in PST. I thankfully was able to grab screenshots of the price change. Wonder if I should email them or just pass on the deal all together...

Oh - so its not worth it, even as a free add on? Cant seem to find any demos online of just this part of the Galaxy X.

Well don't take my word for it. I got it for buying Gravity and I don't care much for that either. I really wish I could return it or sell it but they don't allow you to.
