I have been trying to get in for an hour now. All I get is '502 Bad Gateway' errors. What a mess...

I feel sorry for those guys. This must cost them a fortune.

I just tried it and works fine for me right now.

To add to my confustion, AIR just re-released a drum machine called BOOM.

Can't speak to the drum machine, but the company that makes sound libraries does a really, really good job. Thing is they definitely cater towards the film/sound design folks and they don't seem to be very cheap.

Sorry, it was my mistake, it should be working now:

I hadn't heard of that. Have you tried it out? It looks interesting, though I guess it doesn't work with Ableton. That is pretty much all I can find on it. And a YouTube video.
I am getting stochas as well - been trying it out in Reaper and it seems stable and useful for the price. Also bought liquid rhythm and kirnu cream. They are very cheap at the moment

Anything else you have noticed?
If you like stochas/generative - worth checking out sugar bytes obscurium too. There's a lot of power there (both as a sound source and a midi sequencer) when you get away from the chiptune sounding demos.

btw, stochas definitely works with ableton:
add it to a midi track, then in the target (instrument) midi track, just set the "midi from" to the stochas track and the midi input channel to "stochas" too (instead of the detault "Post FX"). Set Monitor to "In" on the instrument track and you're good to go.

We have just completed the last round of changes to the server configuration. We will not touch it again (unless it explodes) until Tuesday. We built the first version of jrrshop.com in 1998 and, as of this moment, the site is working faster than I've ever seen it.

autodafe wrote:I cannot check on the website....Is Reason 10 upgrade available on JRR and at what price?
Thank you for asking. It is $299 and you can use the "Group" coupon code on it:

Thank you for waiting! I'm sorry for the delay! You can now see the sale prices when you click on the products:

https://www.jrrshop.com/tokyo-dawn-records

The bundles are on sale, as well, but I'm afraid to put them up when our site is getting hit so hard right now. If you are interested in one of those, please PM me and we can take care of it outside of the site. The Everything Bundle is $100 and the Everything+OD DeEdger is $150.

It's working fine for me now. No more errors like I described earlier.

Showed remarkable restraint this year, just emptied loads of items from my cart figuring that there's no great requirement for them now as most of the stuff I was looking at is discounted regularly throughout the year anyway, and the rest was covered by things I already have.

Did bite on Icarus though, looking forward to trying that out.

Yes, it seems so.

I was wondering how mine was so freaking cheap. I only own all the small plugs and one regular one and it was only $50
When I checked on Wednesday, it was around $120, by last night it was $155. Probably the first time there's actually been a price hike on Black Friday.
Yesterday morning after I got the Black Friday email my upgrade price was $70 (no-brainer territory) but when I went back after lunch to actually make the purchase, it had gone up to $105 which took it right out of no-brainer/impulsive territory and that's the end of that. In fact, it made me take a harder look at the bundle and now I'm actually glad I didn't buy it as I don't think there's much there I would use over the freebies/little plugins I already have.

My guess is they screwed up the algorithm that calculates the upgrade price and later corrected it. So if anyone got the upgrade for an absurdly cheap price, congratulations
A bit fried in the higher freqs

My feelings exactly, much of it I'm not sure I even particularly need but thought for the couple of plugs I wanted it's reasonably priced, but at $35 more it didn't look as attractive.
