I read that as kind of Pro Jrr post as he blame the provider not the shop.
Exactly :tu: don't see how the two others could get anything else out of it, thanks for stepping in, and once again, my best wishes for JRR to be dispensated for the troubles and lost business during the last days :)

anyone here using bidule? seen it referenced a few times in various places but not sure how useful it would be to have in the tool-kit. Seems worth a punt at £38 though.
I picked it up on this sale. There was a discussion some time back on this because I was looking for a VST host that is itself a VST and can do feedback. I would prefer something that allows for the building of a useful U/I, bidule is not that, at least not in the sense that I mean. However, it is probably the most stable tool that is also modular and accomplishes those goals.

So, if you want to build hybrid effects or instruments that incorporate your existing effects or instruments and can be freely routed in complex ways, combined with other audio and midi manipulation tools, AND, can be then loaded as a plugin in your host, cross platform, then Bidule is basically the only choice.
thanks - the midi processing/routing alone seems worth the money to me, the rest would be gravy. I seem to have bought mostly utility type stuff this BF (other than arcsyn).

Bidule is also good since it can load VST3 plugins, so if your host can't (I'm looking at you Ableton) this can be a solution.
It can also be a good way to build certain setups that your host doesn't support or makes too hard (directly connecting a couple of midi-altering VSTs for instance without needing several tracks) and save them as a preset for quick access.
For the current price, I would highly recommend it as a swiss army knife for all kinds of things many other DAWs can't do.
Too bad there is no GUI builder included, that would make it much more versatile...

Cheers,

Tom

Is Bidule absolutely rock-solid ???

How about mixing with old 32-bit VSTi etc etc ???

(seems like other attempts making a modular environment has often failed, such as Magma from Nomad, or just plain wrappers)

Agreed. It does seem to be very good at reading my plugins and not getting hung up like so many hosts do. Given how hard it is to find something that works in this way, for the moment, I think that it's the most reliable choice.

I can't comment on that, per se. I think that "absolutely rock solid" might be too high of a standard though. It's solid enough for my tastes at the moment given that there is really nothing else that is both as stable and as complete.

Don't get me wrong, if there were other choices with even adequate GUI builders then I'd be all over them.

I find it very stable, but I would assume that this has a lot to do with your used plugins - the core itself is developed constantly for many years and very reliable here (I bought it in 2010, no update fees since). Their weird version numbering is actually an internal joke and doesn't signify an alpha or beta state, I once read they do not plan to ever get to the full 1.0 number... ;-)

It does not include a bit bridge, but is available in 32 and 64 bit. You may still need something like JBridge for bridging if your host does not do it.

Cheers,

Tom

Failed in execution or failed to be widely adopted?

I know I've only had it for an hour or so, but I'm really pleased with Bidule - even as just a super-easy, lightweight plugin host and midi router, this is brilliant. Will make my hardware<>software setup much easier to manage than how I was doing it before. All for £38. Got to love BF.

I picked up Audified's inTone 2 for a really good price during a recent Track Spark sale. I've not yet put it through its paces, but fans of Bidule, MAGMA, VIP, etc. might find it interesting.

Receive Roomer free with any order of $199 or more at JRR Shop. The final version is scheduled to be released on December 1, 2017, and then the Public Beta promotion will come to an end:

Roomer specializes in the kinds of short, pillowy ambiences and room reverbs that make vocals and instruments pop out of the speaker without taking excessive room in a mix or sounding drenched. Sounds become three dimensional and alive, as if coated by a thin layer of air.
I probably should have asked first, but did I need to add this to my cart to get it? These free with purchase should tell you if you need to add it to the cart or if it just goes out to everyone who spends the required amount of money. And...I think I am done for the year... As usual, Uncle E fixed me up! Thanks for your great service! :tu: :tu:

Try entering the CG1 serial number as a second coupon code after entering the black friday coupon code.
