I couldn't see anywhere on the payment screen to enter a code so i think that 20% thing was just their advertised discounts.

Are you sure it's pay on delivery? Since there is no indication on the checkout page.mgw38 wrote:No money upfront needed. I preordered and did not pay. I think when you pay with card they authorize but do not charge until it is delivered. If you use Paypal (which I did) you get a seperate invoice when they release it and you have to pay that then.

LOL! this is why it sounded familiar. I probably bought it from them a while ago.mgw38 wrote:VSTBuzz has a well hidden little store where they sell some titles they apparently acquired from developers that went out of business. I particularly like the Prodyon stuff. Dirt cheap and very useful. You get them presented during checkout when you buy one of their deals. But you can also access the store directly atsoundbylaura wrote:Saw this from VSTBuzz today:

I tried to do it, but the entire transaction looked like it was going to charge me the full price. Made it all the way to the PayPal screen before I bailed.mgw38 wrote:No money upfront needed. Interesting. I can't test it since I technically already upgraded and do not see the button to upgrade anymore. And I can't remember anymore how the process looked for me. The confirmation email I got from Ableton says:dangayle wrote:I tried to do it, but the entire transaction looked like it was going to charge me the full price. Quite to the contrary. Slate FG-Stress is the absolute best comp in my book, together with FabFilter Pro C2.JerGoertz wrote:Anyone who's pissed off at Slate and wants to sell me their FG-Stress license cheap?

I love the AAS Modelling Collection. I'm really glad I invested in it a few years ago because I used to turn my nose up at them being an Ableton user and having quite a lot of their stuff bundled in for free as Live instruments with Ableton suite. I find AAS interfaces easier to program than the tiny Live interfaces that just seem so cramped and I find the sound from the AAS collection has a thickness to it that I don't get with the Ableton versions. The Ableton instruments sound much colder to me.Rational wrote:
Still thinking of grabbing the AAS Modeling Collection for $99 finally. Good deal right there for 6 plugs.
Plus the inbuilt effects are much better quality than what is bundled with Live so a rhodes patch for instance sounds much nicer than a similar patch using Lives' built in effects.
Sometimes when I start tracks and can't be bothered spending time on Sound Design I use the free swatches library to get a track going and then swap out the patches with programmed timbres from the AAS devices.
On a seperate note speaking of Sound design, I spent the last couple of days getting to grips with Native Instruments Molekular and that things a beast when it comes to mangling the crap out of sounds. The presets are really useless in my opinion and was one of the reasons why I parked the ensemble as they are more on the side of random chaos and that's great if you are into that side of things, but if you want to keep things musical with plenty of modulation and movement, I think Molekular is a good price at the moment with 50% off. Thre is a tiny little pitch fork which is easy to miss on the ensemble that allows you to write your own scales or modulate between notes from a particular scale that allow you to then randomly modulate pitch based parameters and limit sounds from sounding wrong and chaotic.
