Will do. It didn't happen exactly like it did yesterday, but when the project reopens it's silent. Toggling HQ or MC didn't make a difference. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not I save it with them turned on and off either. It's a quandry.tasmaniandevil wrote:If it still exhibits this strange behaviour, I'd be really curious to check it out, since I wasn't able to reproduce the problem yet. You can either send it to me via PM on KVR or you can send it via email to support @ u-he and I'll get it from there. Thanks a lot in advance.zerocrossing wrote:Yeah, let me know how to send it to you. I didn’t have a lot of time yesterday, but I’ll see if I get the same behavior out of it today.

I am having a hard time with this preset, and I am sure it can be done.
I am trying to get the alarm from star wars, the envelope is close, the tone needs a different shape. Anyway, I am stuck. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I recorded it here, its time marked at the alarm patch.
This is my target

Sorry, I'd rather not have this kind of stuff in our company forum.mholloway wrote:Arturia, well respected?![]()
I'm very glad I'm not a part of your circle of music peers....where I come from Arturia is the laughing stock of the 'virtual analog' industry.

As far as features, how about animation of knobs that are being modulated by the mod matrix?

I have very mixed feelings about that sort of thing for this kind of synth. I think animated modulation makes sense on New Era soft-synths, so to speak (non emulations like Serum, et al) but on these purist-leaning Analog emulations of classic hardware, it strikes me as a clash of technologies / ideologies of synthesis....braj wrote:As far as features, how about animation of knobs that are being modulated by the mod matrix?

How is it that? It more would emulate a user turning a knobmholloway wrote:I have very mixed feelings about that sort of thing for this kind of synth. But this is by no means a necessity, since the mod matrix has few entries. It would show you the range being modulated though.

I guess I thought you meant the kind of circling, colored animation that is used in a lot of modern soft synths, like Strobe 2, where a ring around the modulated knob shows the depth of modulation and animates to show the modulation in action....
if you mean that the knob *itself* should be animated, well I still disagree, wouldn't that interfere horribly with trying to adjust the base value of the knob ?? How would you even know what the base value is ? The modulation is relative to the base value, not absolute. So we need to see the base value at all times, just like you would on a hardware synth...

I've a small feature request after playing with it for some time now.
As I didn't find any one else requesting it on the forums, a tweak that resets LFO on key/gate would be great to have.
I've looked around and there aseems to exist a firmware/EPROM update doing this on the real thing.
Apart from that, I'm more or less fully satisfied.

Just an observation. External DAW automation animates the knobs.braj wrote:As far as features, how about animation of knobs that are being modulated by the mod matrix?

Thanks. Urs had tweeted about it.......and I got the chance to see it.
Want to hear what your views of the comparison is.... But I imagine you purposely didn't comment in the video to skew others from their own 'observations'.
From your video it sounded like the hardware had a tad more bottom end than the software but by the time you spun around to move from one to the other, my ears/brain may have misrepresented what I just heard
I was actually more fascinated how you can sit in that position so comfortably

Amazing comparison! I honestly cannot hear a negligible difference.
