that was a roland jp8000 not a virus , they sound completely different.

That sound uses the Roland chorus effect, which not many other synths can get right.. which is also the reason why the Juno "what the" Hoover sound is unique and not many other synths can emulate it.

i have all of them.. and none of them have the chorus of the roland.

unless your benchmark means layering shitloads of sawtooth waves and a lpf over them and getting sort of it right

FWIW, the sound in the video came from Nexus (it's written so in the video description), so, it's not really clear where the original sound in the video originated from. As Manuel Schleis according to his own statements used a lot of hardware synths for the Nexus sounds though (i guess it's from him), it's probably either Virus, JP-8000, or Andromeda.

Nothing beats TI...we will see how Viper will hold up, especially with these massive hypersaws...

I don't own the Virus TI so I can't say how accurate Viper sounds, but frankly speaking, I don't care. I just like what I hear from Viper

It sounds pretty accurate to my ears! and when you remember that this is actually the VERY FIRST Virus emulation like this beyond inspired filters and synths like Spire or samples (why did it take this long?!), this is more than awesome
