Hello Urs,

Nice work - again. I test the latest beta in Maschine 2.6.3. If i move the knob (e.g. cutoff) the sound crackle (kratzt). I test a lot of patches and knobs, all of them have the same problem. It doesn't matter if i move the knob with my mouse or with a hardware controller.

OS X 10.12.6, iMac i7 4.2 GHz.

Bye

The main audio thread simply has to do a bit mor stuff (rendering the effects and so on). So it's expected that the overall thread load is higher on one thread.

Ragarding the number of threads: when you use Repro-5 in a small DAW project, just set the number of threads to whatever brings the most performance boost. With a bigger project with many different plugins, it's probably better to set the number of threads to something lower since the DAW most likely does a good job distributing the load across all cores.

Do you use Maschine simply as a MIDI controller or via NKS (Komplete Kontrol)?

FWIW the latest version of Machine 2 seems to be v2.6.11. Activating muticore ("MCORE" switch) in the NKS presets might help. If you activate this in one NKS presets it also seems to work when switchingto othe1.9.1 VST2r NKS presets.

i just tested some of the current NKS presets using this setup:

- Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: i5-3350P Quad Core
- audio interface: Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP
- NI Komplete Kontrol S61 MK1 controller
- Repro-5 RC (Rev 6780) 64-bit VST2 plugin for Windows
- Live 9.7.5 64-bit
- Maschine v2.6.11 64-bit VST2 plugin
- Komplete Kontrol v1.9.1 64-bit VST2 plugin

So far in both the Maschine 2 and Komplete Kontrol VST2 plugins in Live 9 using the knobs in the controller seems to work properly here without crackles in the sound (multicore support is activated here in the Repro-5 GUI).

I use Maschine 2.6.11 as DAW (Standalone) and the RePro-5 in NKS Mode (Browser - Synthesizer - RePro-5).

@Ingonator
I have activate MultiCore. Same problem. I will test it later inside Logic X with Maschine, Komplete Kontrol and as audio unit.

OK i test it again (restart iMac)
- Logic X with Maschine Plug-In 2.6.11
perfect

- Logic X with Komplete Kontrol 1.91
perfect

- Logic X with AudioUnit
perfect

AND

-RePro-5 inside Maschine 2.6.11 Standalone (no Multicore)
perfect

-RePro-5 inside Maschine 2.6.11 Standalone (with Multicore)
crackle if i move a knob

I think Maschine 2.6.11 doesn`t like your Mulitcore, but i think Maschine don`t use Multicore for VST Plug-Ins. But i`m not sure.

I really hate the sticky behavior of the scroll bar in the preset window. Something I had hoped would change in the new browser. I don't have a problem with clicking through columns, but if that's how it's gonna be, then why not just some left/right buttons?

Hi,

i just checked with the Maschine 2.6.11 standalone in Windows 10 64-bit and it seems to work properly with both multicore on and off when moving knobs at my NI Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk1 controller.

I'm getting stuck notes in the VST3 version in Cubase 9.5 Mac. Cubase MIDI reset does not clear the issue, neither does turning plug-in off/on. Happens frequently.

Cheers

May not be the answer you want but I haven't had issues with VST2 version with Cubase 9.5 on Windows. Maybe try that one out as an interim solution.

Two scenarios which can lead to stuck notes:

1)
You are using the mouse to play the graphical keyboard in the plugin GUI.
Hitting a note twice will hold it. This could be perceived as a stuck note, but it's actually a feature, not a bug.
Click the note again to release it.

2)
You are using the Cubase plugin bypass on/off button while playing notes.
This can indeed cause stuck notes.
In this case, switch to another preset, this will stop the stuck note.
