With Synthmaker you might see "saw2KtableSM.dat" and "tri2KtableSM.dat" files.
Unlikely, neither Synthmaker nor 32-bit Synthedit exist for Macs.I don't know whether this might be one of the problem issues with JBridge on Mac, since I'm not a Mac guy.
