Sorry to disappoint you, but that one is still broken. We had a quick look at it, but weren't able to fix it yet.
It only sounds ok as long as FL Studio playback isn't running. If it plays, the s&h still freaks out.
euhh....no? Over here it is running just fine.
Just tested it again and with the lfo set to sync the host, the source to S/H and fl studio running (transport), the sound is perfectly good (tested the vst3,x64 variant)

hakey wrote:It still says Globals Quality with an 's' when you hit the HQ button. I know, it's a tiny detail, but my OCD.
I hope this helps:

"Globals" is the name of a module/section which deals with parameters that affect all other modules, hence it's called "Globals".

"Quality" is a name of a parameter within the "Globals" module.

Calling the module "Global" would make things inconsistent as it isn't a module name but an adjective. I would agree though to rename the module into "Global Parameters", even if that might make people think that "Quality" only applies to these then, and question the absence of an apostrophe when - oi! - it actually applies.

Fair dos. Not being an English word, I naturally assumed Globals was a typo*

*which you would want to correct. Apologies if it came across as unwarranted nitpicking, that really wasn't the intention!

Post

Indeed, "global" is a plural noun with a singular form in English. There's no need for "s". Similarly to "info" - as a shorthand, it can mean either single or multiple pieces of data, but there's no dedicated plural form for it like "infos". "Info" is both singular and plural, depending on context.

Oha, now that is interesting. If you choose the HS Edge Nine preset from the 12 Loops folder, then start host transport in FL Studio and play it, it sounds ok now? Because over here, it still goes bananas.
If this is the case, then there must be some special settings which can cure the problem.
I already tried every weird thing I could find in FL Studio and nothing made a difference.
Did you meanwhile change anything, e.g. the sample rate or the audio buffer size, or anything in the plugin settings?
Could you eventually make screenshots of the FL Studio Options > System > Audio settings page and of the Repro-5 VST wrapper settings pages (general settins and processing settings) and send them to support at u-he dot com? I'd really like to check if there is anything set differently than on my system.
That QA guy from planet u-he.

For everyone who wants to try the NKS Preview files for Repro-5, here's a download link:

Repro-5 NKS Previews for the Factory Library

Unpack that Zip file and follow the instructions in the included .rtf text document (don't read sloppily, read carefully!).
Since this is a bit on short notice, the installation of these preview files needs to be done manually, my apologies. With future releases, this will be easier.

Just installed previews (I was actually being devilish and I installed it in NBPL folder where they will end up eventually when NBPL gets an update, under folder that matches Repro-5 UPID, 57d74b28-34ae-11e7-a919-92ebcb67fe33 :)).

They are quite louder than Repro-1 previews. Assuming they weren't normalized to -19 LUFS and -3 dB peak.

Post

Random question: to properly scale a parameter (let's say ResQ Mid Frequency) with Key Follow or Key Follow + PB, what would be the correct modulation depth? In Zebra, it's often 64, but I'm wondering if it's any different in RePro.

Well, they were approved by NI. So we're good :clown:

Post

Interesting... they were pretty strict about normalization for the recent Kontakt libraries that I did...

In any case, they do jump out too much when compared to other previews, so it'd be nice to fix that. I'll do that manually on my side...

I'm fairly (but not completely) sure that ResQ bands are tuned in semitones like every other eq/filter I have developed (less one). +64 would be correct if the range of the parameter was 0-100 or 40-140, but if the range is, say, 30-80, you'd have to go +128 (but that's not possible then). If teh paarmeter had a range of 64 values, it would have to be +100 to map Keyfollow...

Bought. Urs, I hope you will somewhere in the future improve the slider. The plugin opens and closes so fast. Wow. I think this is the fastest modern plugin I have so far. Duplicating an instance has zero delay. Thanks for your and your team's hard work.

82 for Low, 70 for Mid, 83 for High.
