Post

As I mentioned previously, we're probably going to be dropping 32-bit support in Waveform 9 which means 32-bit plugins will no longer work. As I also explain, almost all plugins these days have 64-bit variants but there are a few which don't.

There are ways to still use 32-bit plugins in a 64-bit host by making use of bridging plugins such as jBridge and 32-lives.

We would like to verify that these bridge plugins work with W9 and the most common 32-bit only plugins so if you could let us know what 32-bit only plugins you use here, we'll do our best to ensure compatibility.

Cheers,
Dave

Will there be a chance for a built in bridge? while jBridge is nice, it has some issues.

sorry if some have 64bit versions already.
known 64bit option tagged with //..

they are free and some of them are sure old enough to never have seen 64bit universe.
there might be a modern pro version but the free version may not have been updated to 64.
sound is either very high quality, or particular style.

You should check before comment, the reason of this thread is to find real 32 bit only plugins that can't be replaced
You posted some plugins that have 64 bit versions starting with reaplugins, blue cat audio series, Overtone GEQ ...
And about the ones that are 32 bit only, do you really need them? and why? please don't post plugins if you don't use them

Perhaps the question should be more like this:

Who do you expect to check whether your favourite plug-ins have 64-bit versions if it turns out that nobody else but you uses them?

Not the Tracktion staff, not RosesbyRosex, not me...

Take responsibility. Recherchez till you've checked them all.

I apologize if it causes a misunderstanding, but don't get me wrong, i apreciate you took your time to answer, and now we should let the right users to answer this post (the ones faithful to 32 bit), if no answer 32 bit support is gone.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Just to clarify, this thread isn't a general "Plugins I use" thread, it's specifically so we can create a list of 32-bit only plugins to test for compatibility in bridging tools.

In order for us to do this effectively we need to make sure the list is relatively small and concise as we simply don't have time to sift through tons of 3rd party plugins, creating accounts, downloading, seeing if they have 64-bit variants etc.

Thanks again! Dave

These are the last few x86 plugins I still hope to be able to use in Waveform x64. I currently 32bit plugins via jbridge.

VazModular (FWIW, I really really dont want to lose the use of this)
Big Tick Angeline
and, (if authorisation of them is still possible given that NI have change their system yet again)
NI Spektral Delay
NI Vokator
Set Theory claim:

Red is Red and anything that is Red is an object, a class in itself or a real thing if you prefer"

I updated my list,
entries starting with "//" seem to have 64bit versions. discard these from research.
not everything 100% clear with the non-commercial stuff.

Loudmax has 64bit available.

ok sorry my bad but you'll find it is listed twice.
nitpicking we would come to the point that a particular version that was used in a particular mix, may not have a 64bit sibling.
and the update may sound different.

the question is whether one wants to invalidate a list just because two entries may be erraneous.
it's not a bible. it's just statistics.
