actually I blame Rozzer who recommended that I get it. Obviously I can't expect him to realise I only had Sessions and I know it's down to me to read the big bold lettering at the bottom of the product page that states that it only works with Reaktor but it's his fault anyway...

Don't ever use an Alesis synth on a PC as MIDI controller through serial interface when it's switched to Mac instead of PC. Or at least don't uninstall every piece of software, remove network cards, graphic cards and uninstall 2 OS's before you try removing the serial cable.

I just love the lil switches you forget all about..
