Murnau, thanks for the tip. Grabbed it elsewhere.
I would take an installation manager over ilok any day. :D

Gforce’s promo pricing in general seems to be infrequent at best.

So I demo’ed Pro Q2 for a bit last night. Easy to see why it’s popular.

I’m still learning my way around music production, and the UI is definitely intuitive and just gorgeous. I also appreciate that there are a lot of free instructional videos on YT for it and for just general EQ utilization tips.

The (potential) problem is, when you are having more than 10 installation/authorization managers, from different developers, running in your computer. You didn´t wan´t to have the 11th etc.
You never know how well these thing cooperate with your OS and the future updates of your OS, if they slow down your computer etc. etc.

It's an industry standard compliant loudness meter full of facilities and good looking.

Use YNY23 for the discount code. I've been waiting for this for a long time, Christmas has come early for me! :D
Me too!!
Just curious...
What takes this beyond the (normally) cheaper competition like dpMeter II and Youlean Loudness Meter and such?
I'm probably not the most competent person to answer this but my understanding is that as long as they comply to measuring standards - which pretty much all of them do - it should not make much difference which one you use. It basically comes down to a matter of personal preference. In my case I ended up using the Waves WLM Plus as my go-to loudness meter.

The Waves WLM Plus has an integrated true peak limiter but I never really use that to be honest. I usually use Fabfilter's Pro-L for limiting. Interestingly, the new Pro-L2 has an integrated loudness meter. I have not upgraded yet but once I have I might actually skip the WLM in favor of using the Pro-L2 for both limiting as well as metering.
Another meter that’s cool:

Blue Cat’s DPMP Pro also has some really interesting MIDI and side-chaining capabilities.

There’s a video link on Gearslutz where it’s being utilized to operate a motorized fader on an Avid control surface.

Way more than just a meter. It also happens to be on sale right now. ;)

Love my iLok dongles.. ..just sayin'.. :hihi:
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

This is my issue. I use Little Snitch to keep any software from phoning home, which can affect my sessions, and as Harry said, never know how it will interact with my DAW. I understand the concept and would like to see all developers have a "download it yourself" option. Just helps run a cleaner system.

I got an email about 1 h ago from the AAS. It doesn´t say if the gift is connected to the purchases made in 2017, I would think they send it to all customers. I got one in last year, too, I have bought something from them every year 2012-2017.
