VIBRATO in Synthmaster

I own both SM1 and SM2, but find that, when it comes to lead and bass voices there is lacking native vibrato--via MOD WHEEL--programmed into the presets, unlike, for example, Lush 101 or Diva. Any help with how to add vibrato to a preset? Thanks much.

well I don't have SM_One.. but you can try these methods in SM_2JohnnyWhite wrote:I own both SM1 and SM2, but find that, when it comes to lead and bass voices there is lacking native vibrato--via MOD WHEEL--programmed into the presets, unlike, for example, Lush 101 or Diva. First method... find the pitch control on the layer page.. either by right clicking or dragging from an LFO (I would suggest a global synth_LFO) assign this LFO.. find the assignment in the right hand "Matrix" window... you should see the LFO as source and pitch as target... in the "Via" slot click and assign MIDI>>ModWheel... change the method to "Multiply x" (the add + method is far to radical/extreme) and dial in some amount (remember "shift" while adjusting will give FINE control of knobs.. I think you will need this
Another method.. if using Unison (more than 1 voice) try the same technique but modulate the "Spread Detune" instead...
Yet a third way would be to make the assignment to each OSC's "Fine Tune" control...
In all these examples the Mod matix set up would be similar... experiment with "add" and " Multiply" mehtods/algorithms in the various situations
I hope this helps... BTW, if you are new to these synths... remember to RTFM... yup, that'll be the manual.. not the best but it does cover this and more.

Nothing is preprogrammed in SM2. But for SM1, we have a dedicated vibrato LFO assigned to the oscillators already. All you have to do is to modulate vibrato LFO volume with modwheel in SM1. For SM2, it's more complex, you have to modulate fine tune of each osc/mod with mod wheel.
