Update on that: We seeded the beta team last night. The AAX version on Mac always crashes, one user has instant crashes in Cubase 9.5. It seems that we have another week or so of debugging ahead before we can post this. Which unfortunately makes a public beta in 2017 very unlikely :?
I would like to ask your opinion Urs...

I have Hive, Diva and Ace... and thinking if I should get repro1/5 or if I should expand my sound rather with Zebra... I am into Synthwave and 80s pop style music .. what would you suggest? I wish we could buy the dark night version of Zebra direct but I know its not possible. Is fairlight type sounds possible with Zebra?

By far and away go with Repro if you’re going for synthwave. (Unsolicited opinion, I know.)

Quite downtrodden to hear that we’re not getting a public beta of 2.8 in 2017. -sigh-

That's ok (with me anyway) always a very ambitious plan.
Thanks for the update.

You have Diva so first buy Luftrum Synthwave Diva:
http://www.luftrum.com/synthwavediva/

...and...

Analogue Hits Presets for U-he Diva
http://swanaudio.co.uk/analogue-hits/

...and...

Classic OB Presets for U-he Diva
http://swanaudio.co.uk/classic-ob/

If that doesn't satisfy your craving then buy Zebra, and this soundset:

‘Analog Memories’ for Zebra 2 by Electric Himalaya
http://www.electric-himalaya.com/u-he_z ... esets.html
viewtopic.php?f=257&t=494388

and this one perhaps...

I wonder if the Synthwave craze and Bitcoin mania are related. I bet they are!

Don't buy Repro as it makes this annoying grinding sound. :D

Oh also for synthwave in Zebra get the soundsets from u-he by Michael Kastrup and Bigtone and play with the detune knob until every patch sounds like a cake left out in the rain. :tu:

Trying... one crash fixed, one crash still highly mysterious... might push it out even with latter in limbo.

Guys don't rush him... let him (let THEM) iron out the bugs that are left. it's not like we're out of synths/sounds...
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

No worries, the remaining issue seems to be something odd about the operating system (OS X 10.10). Like, a missing font or something. We can not yet reproduce it on any of our machines.

Simply release the Windows version. :hihi:

Urs, you teaser! :D

Urs, if you don't release it this week I'm going to burn all my kid's Christmas presents.

You wouldn't want that on your conscience now, would you? :-D
