No, you don't need to do anything, and Korg have already announced they're making bigger GUIs for these plugins.
But I do have to do something. I have to reregister this stuff.
After logged in into Korg User Net you should be able to get the Migration Codes and Upgrade Codes.
With the Migration coupon codes and the provided links you can buy the plugin while actually you do not have to pay anything.

First you need to create a new account with the new Korg ID in teh Korg Shop before doing those migration "purchases".

Well the installer doesnt work properly for me on Win10, despite entering my VST plugin folder as the destination in the sinataller it ignored that and put them in
C:\Program Files (x86)\KORG\KORG Legacy

Because you don't want to be the guy coming back here in a few months saying his plugins no longer work/authorise, KorgUser.net is gone, there is no way to get upgrade coupons anymore and they want $250 from me to make my existing plugins work again!

It's going to happen to someone, don't let it be you..! ;)
I assume that the plugins authorized under the old system will not just cease to operate at some arbitrary point in time ? Only if you want to reinstall / reauthorize would it be an issue ?

Anyway I've got all my codes saved but I don't think I'll take the time to update the studio computer just yet. But does anyone know if these code will expire at some time ? If the codes are going to expire if you don't use them by some date then yes I guess I'll have to update even before there are more significant updates.

What is the URL for the new account? I can't find it in any of the instructions at Korguser.net

Didnt the old codes change each time they needed reauthorising, which was quite often for some people, if they updated their OS for example.
Under Windows 8 I was regularly having to reauthorise them and the code was always different.

Hm, it's interesting news, that Korg will improve the gui of the legacy plugins somewhere in the future.
On the other hand, i think they are late. There are so much newer synths that are better choices if someone wants to buy plugins...

I just loaded a preset that gave me a different GUI... but I can't find that setting anywhere.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

The Wavestation for 25 bucks, that sounds interesting :) Especially when it gets a bigger GUI one days...

Did Korg buy up ARP rights?

Korg plugins are rather old, can they compete with Roland's new emulations in terms of quality and authenticity?

Depends if you load a patch from Factory, Rev1 or Rev2
Gui changes accordingly.

I know from the iOS version that there are 3 different GUI´s, depending on which patch bank you use. Rev1 is the white, Rev2 is black f.e.

...uups someone beat me to it.

You better use the migration codes. This way, you will get the new registration serial and you will have the products registered in your new account. When you get the e-mail with the new serials and links, you can simply file them and save them for later. The most important part (registration) is already done. My two cents

Totally agree with you.
Unless someone prefers not to do anything now and bitch later when they can't.
Cause this is KVR..... it will happen.

The Wavestation os a perfect replica of the original (it ever was). I know - I have both.

The M1 is actually BETTER than the original (again, I have a 03R/W, which belongs to a later generation, close, but better than the M/T series, and I managed to replicate several presets of the 03R/W with the M1).

The MS20, Polysix and MonoPoly - I never had contact with the originals, but I like the way they sound - especially the MonoPoly. Being old also means they are much lighter, which is an advantage
