I just read this: "Some features widely requested by users will be added to the KORG Collection in future updates. We plan to support AAX format and refine the user interface on a large-scale among other improvements but until then we hope you love all the new features so far and enjoy making music with the KORG Collection of synthesizers offered by KORG.".
I sincerely hope they do not think in porting the dumb iOS interfaces into the Collection. IMO, the GUIs are OK as they are. Just make them large, and add some features that are convenient in a desktop application (like the possibility to type values in some controls in M1, for example, instead of just using the mouse).
OTOH, I'm amazed with the interest this was received among the KVR community. This seems to confirm what I've been saying - Korg is being dumb by wasting resources in Gadget, instead of updating, improving and expanding this Collection.

Personally, I think the iOS version of Wavestation has a pretty great interface. Definitely much better than the VST.

Seems "childish" to me. and definitely touch oriented. I don't think it would work well in a desktop computer. Not that I think the current desktop Wavestion has a good GUI maybe it's the worst of them all). But the M!, for example, works pretty well for me. And the MonoPoly is perfect as it is. Polysix, ditto. The servers break as soon as I click to apply the coupon... I guess their back end is ko (unreachable) right now.
Anyway, I sympathize with Korg I.T. team, I don't envy their situation right now (nobody wants to start a migration or to release something at the end of the week, not to mention right before a holiday season), I hope they will be able to solve the problems soon and without much effort...
This kind of situations really pisses me off (and I can relate, because I work in I.T. too), I'm lucky that we usually slow down things right before the holiday seasons, so we rarely get caught in this scenario (and despite slowing down, problems still happen... for example, today the guys sitting next to me were going crazy because of the failure of the release process in a development environment just a few minutes before the end of the shift and the beginning of the holidays - they easily resolved the problem, but it was a really undesiderable experience)... so, my encouragement goes to the Korg people
(I'll try to be patient and to understand).

None of it is working for me, and they do not have my proper licenses listed. I own everything and they only have three items in my Migration Coupon area and NOTHING in my Upgrade Coupon area.
I wrote to support. Waste of time as they sent me to FAQ. Bull.

I just installed the Arp Odyssey but i can't register it :/
The authorizer opens up and i click the register online button and it opens up a page in Chrome.
When i click the ok button there nothing happens.

I know I had issues using a Firefox browser to do the upgrade this morning. Came in with Safari, and everything worked. Probably not related to the issues you guys are seeing... but just in case you're on a Mac. Use Safari for the licensing..
Back to the iOS version. I should predicate this with... I am no Apple fan-boy. Especially having heard over the last day or two that they have throttled performance of older iPhones (without mentioning until they were caught). Anyway - the iOS version of the Odyssey is great. Connecting, reliably... to a primarily hardware setup is a tremendous PITA. I spent a couple of weekends getting iConnectMIDI4+ and my iPad Pro playing happily with my hardware mixer, Mac, and hardware synths. It's all working now though... But was a major PITA. Once setup though... iOS apps that I had used for dinking around / creative stuff... are now timbre generators, part of my physical synth arsenal. Granted though... i had to put a lot of work into getting things configured. But now... Nave, Thor, ODYSSEi, iProphet, Animoog, and several others are participating in Logic Pro, and a hardware setup. Sorry for the diversion from the OP... but ODYSSEi WAS an integrated part of my hardware synth setup. That said though... I am finding the Mac App to be a lot easier to integrate.
Voices? If there's a difference in polyphony.. i havent seen it yet.
For those who are new to the Odyssey... If you hear a Lead that your like the timbre of ( for example Factory 006: Dance Lead). Select / load it. Then go to the UNISON section of the Odyssey and change the Voice Assign to POLY. Still Mono? Yes.. because UNISON is set to 10. Move that down to 3 or 4 or less... depending on the amount of polyphony you want in your new patch. 2 works... giving you 8 voices of polyphony on this patch. Dink around with other settings... then goto the upper left menu and choose File/Save Program As... and save it off as a polyphonic patch.

You guys are probably right. I had a number of issues initially... browser change, just happened to be something I tried... but I was doing multiple things. Another thing, I hadn't done... is initially install the collection again. I had my old version, and wanted to launch it before installing - so I could check the differences. Immediately, it (the old version of the software) prompted me for my license/Legacy Bundle Product Code. That... did not work, from this old version. I had to close the dialogue boxes.. and install the new software. All the collection titles.. Then when I launched the new versions - it prompted me for the license / Legacy Bundle Product Codes. I copy/pasted that URL into Safari.. and registered them there. Convoluted mess... but it got my stuff working. Sorry for droning on . . but that's what worked for me - and may beat, waiting for Korg support to come back into the office (on a holiday weekend)...sin night wrote:Firefox and Safari on Mac here, both up to date, none of them working.
